Great, informative video. I live in a condo development and have limited space. I bought a Tonto Crape Myrtle that I planted in a big, double walled, insulated planter. I use Pine bark to retain moisture in the planter. My Crape Myrtle flowered well last year. I did trim prior to winter, so the shrub jacket cover would fit. I live in zone 6b. This year, I had to trim the inner area of my Crape Myrtle. There wasn't any leaf growth on the thin stems in the center. I am hoping my Crape Myrtle looks as beautiful as it was last year. I am so impressed how fast Crape Myrtles grow.

Thank you so much; this was exactly what I was looking for. I was afraid to hurt my dynamite crepe myrtle with pruning but now I feel confident.

I planted a nice 5gallon Natchez a few years ago. The main leaders are about 3/4” dia. and are now 6 to 7 foot tall and really weep out to the sides. I am worried about the flimsy tops once they bloom. I have them staked and controlled but I think in the late fall it might be time to top the tree a foot or so to promote more branching. Would this be correct ??

Funny how you create a problem and lo and behold there’s a solution . Some people knew what they were doing . Follow the money . Anyone ever think in these terms ?

Great information. Not much nursery sells mums at spring time only cuttings online. Would be great if you can make a video on how those cuttings be use for landscape purposes, care and maintain :) are root cut mums ok to plant on the ground directly? Or has to be pot first and wait till it becomes a little big? Oh...and what kind of mums for landscape

Hi! Just got these great Mums off clearance table at grocery store. I’d love to help them flourish and become greater! What are some tips on how to get them there. They are tall and leggy. Being sold as “Memorial Day mums”. I’d like them to become bushier.

The problem with these methods, particularly in residential neighborhoods, is that you're not eliminating the problem. You're just relocating the problem to a neighbors yard.

I have a young wax Myrtle that has reached about six feet and I’m trying to tree form… it has several of what you call telephone pole branches. How do you handle those? Do you prune the tip to create branching?

This helped, we have a new home with large natural areas we want to look a bit more finished so we will most likely use pine straw for those and traditional mulch up front . Thanks for this, subbed ,:)

Thank you so much for this video!! I keep coming back to it for help with mine! I unfortunately don't know what kind I have inherited. The previous owners only know that it's white and about 3 years old. So not very helpful. I wish there were a way to find out which kind it was. 😕

🏡. When first starting out with your humming bird feeders ; Please advise your viewers to start out with small amounts of the sugar wster ( approx. 1/3 ) of the feeder until you notice it is being used then gradually fill up as more visitors come to your feeder. There is not so much waste as you must clean your feeder more often as every or two and fill . Hope this helps !

Directions say to cut back buddlias ( the butterfly bush ) in early spring . I just planted it last fall and we have had a severe spring below freezing temps at night . Today is our first day of 60 ° weather on April 8 , 2024 in Zone 5 . I have lost all bulb blooms ( daffs , etc. ) , should I also cut back my double blooming lilac ? I thought it died but, suddenly and out of shape its leafing and has drk. purple blooms creeping on it but it really needs cut back because niether one has never done well . Please advise . I lost 7 little quick fires , 3 bobos , which I cannot replace due to $$. I was hoping for starts from the boomerangs . I have followed organics and directions . It's been 💔 for me . I am older and just need direction for my newer plants now and lilacs please . Do I really cut these little things back in their first spring or give them a year . I know the big black smokebush I will cut back after blooming and the lilacs I trim after blooming but, can I cut them back without losing their Second Bloom Cycle ? Thaank you for your Video. This is my whole wish was to have a sun and shade garden for Humming birds and you have provided all this and more ❤ I believe you also had a video for moles and. Oles at one time . I hope to find an updated version . Great Video. Great Options !

BS! At this concentration, tap water will neutralize all microbiotic reactions within the solution. That is why they add it to water in the first place. Chlorine is very toxic to all living organisms. One method is to place the tap water in the bottom of the refrigerator for 24 hours allowing the chlorine to condense and form a gas layer at the top of the container. Then blow the vapor away. Otherwise, I recommend, before adding Grow, leaving the tap water outside ' unsealed' for three days. (Indoors during the winter) Sunlight will also destroy the chlorine condensation. This presentation destroys all credibility of the product designating it as possible hype.
