when you have your SOP about “How to take orders from customers when the computer is down”, then you do not have to react to that situation and hurry up and instruct all the employees on what they should be doing when it hits the fan, you just say, “go read the SOP”.

It's surprising if you train employees the right way the first time, they remember it and they stick to it. If your standards and expectations keep changing, your employees will just do what they think is best. SOPs provide both YOU and your staff the discipline to stay consistent with how things are done!

That sounds warm and fluffy. However, the problem is that unrealistic deadline people probably overlook previous deeds that were good. Therefore, I think there’s a bit more to it.

Even if they were going through things in their lives, that still doesn't give them the audacity to be rude to others, especially when they are just trying to be nice, work hard, and do the right thing.

Savage_Aiimz-Tv there's nothing you can do about. Live with it, these people exist. Or get fired when you confront them about it.

Savage_Aiimz-Tv so did I. There's nothing you can do at all. Just have to take it. Because these people take advantage of workplace restrictions. They know how to manipulate it.

Savage_Aiimz-Tv tell me about it. I'm working with one now. Always playing games. Trying to get me to flip. It ain't happening. You just have to keep reminding yourself you're doing better than them. They've got the problems not you. Keep smiling in their faces. It works.

Whenever I have to ask something to a colleague who is in the middle of his/her duties, I have a habit of starting with a whispering voice “Sorry to bother you......”. In response, 99% of the time I get a vacant sullen look. On the other hand, if somebody interrupts me during my hectic hours, I respond with a smile, “Sure, no problem”. Now, here is one example of real life incidents. I have a colleague, who is half-deaf, slow and understands only a few words in English. One day she was working with an optical device, and I asked with a whispering voice if she was going to finish soon, as I was going to need it rest of the day. She answered, “No, no.”. I said with a smile, “Take your time. No hurry.” I had other things to do in the meantime anyway. Unfortunately, she didn’t understand the expression “Take your time”; she had no idea what “No hurry” means. In response, she gave me an obnoxious look with bunched eyebrows and barked, “Whatttttt?” Later she complained to my boss that, I was being rude to her. There was absolutely no witness, so my boss took her side, not mine. I was speechless, and I have never been able to correct my boss’s impression about me until today, and this incident still keeps haunting me, even though it was about 2 years ago. My question to you, what did I say wrong?

Its called favoritism ya dumbo she sucked off her boss so much, now she's always always gonna take that bitch's side over yours, lol imagine still working there not realising its all rigged against you

Like this topic . Iam introverted . And society sees us as "shy" or snobby" but we aren't we just sit back and process things at a slower rate and have late reaction . But we try to take it all in before reacting . Or we don't feel the need to react . It's a waste of energy and if society says we don't. we are called " having no back bone" I see it ass no. We are not tryin to be a ass bone " like most people act. They jump to things to quickly and over react and look like jerks . But in their eyes "yeah Ima big tough guy or girl" I didn't take no crap from them" to me acting with no class or substance . You should always think before you talk ,and take it all it or ,react . It could cost you. I see people like that and shake my head . They are not very liked people .
