If she'd stayed in Germany where this version (live singing here )was more of a hit for her Mariska would have been known more for being a solo artist not just for fronting Shocking blue but she enjoyed being with her family in the Hague more than promoting herself , she did this also while fronting SB and left abruptly after gigs to get home . In the 80s when her parents died you can see by her performances her confidence left but she slowly regained it , look at her reunions 1980 and ones in mid 80s it's obvious to see as she sometimes looks confused it's then I believe she needed a lot of support like most people do with the loss of family members . I do prefer the English version of this one though but you can also see here how she can create a more German feel for her audience for them to relate with , a special talent and a much underappreciated singer and beautiful person inside and out. ❤

Meriska is a Sweet Heart and was so ahead of Her Time! She is so Beautiful and Her Hair is so Angelic as well as Her Singing Voice! The Group Shocking Blues were also so Awesome! The Lead Guitarist was Also Head of His Time! The Special Affects He Got out His Fender Telecaster Revels any sound that Even Jimmy Page or Jimmy Hendrix's could get out of their Telecasters or Stratocasters! Shocking Blues were definitely underrated! I would Definitely say That Meriska Veres of Shocking Blues Definitely was One of the First Super Rock N' Roll Gal's or Babe's in Rock History!
