Spot on and brilliant assessment mate, in 23 years supporting our great club, I've never felt as perplexed at where we are as a club as I do right now. It hurts to witness the downfall for the past 5/6 years and tonight tops the absolute lot, I feel extremely angry, a sense of unbelievable sadness and true disgust that it's come to this. All the work we did to build the club into a well respected/well run organisation under Sir John Madejski and Sir Steve Coppell has been destroyed by an invisible crook of an owner and the club is now rotten to the very core and is unrecognisable to me, compared to the club I grew up watching. Selles is a fraud of a physio pretending to be a manager. Genuinely sick of it all right now.

No top team in Europe (unless you count Leipzig?) plays with a narrow 4-2-2-2. Why was it ever a good idea to pin our hopes on a philosophy that has no real tangible benefits and no track record of working well within Europe. Jesse Marsch failed with the idea at Leeds catastrophically as did Hassenhuttl and Selles at Southampton. All roads for this debacle lead to the ownership again

Sleepwalking into double relegation. Inexperienced manager + inexperienced team = what we are seeing. Now another points deduction as well. We are really sinking. I do think this team is decent and playing well below what it's capable of. If Wilder was manager we would be top half easily and progressing.

If they come out of the break and lose 3 out of 4, I will be concerned. At this point, as has been pointed out, this team has not had any significant time to train together. Honestly, I'm fine with a season full of a young squad that ends up mid-table. My hope is that that builds the foundation for a promotion run the following year as the youngsters gain experience. Hopefully Selles is the right man for that job.

I admire the optimism but having sat through the dross of 97/98, 98/99 and even 99/00, believe me, you'll be craving mid/bottom end of the Championship than League 1. It's soul destroying. Portsmouth have been there for 7 seasons now. We've experienced just how hard it is to get out of. It's going to be a slog, if the club exists of course...

As a Huddersfield fan all I can say is commiserations, for most of this season I felt that we would be one of the teams to drop and that was an awful feeling so I can guess how you must be feeling. Football can be cruel at times. Best of luck for next season and hopefully you will be at the opposite end of the table this time next year.
