Are you nuts? The tent are surely made for this. What will not however is if some noob pitch the tent on a storm where winds are 70 mph, wich no professional would ever do, and if so the pros would carry double poles like you also can put on a Hilleberg tent. lol. Some comments lol

@AlexhaugsАй бұрын
Do you feel like changing the poles makes a big difference on the sturdiness of the tent? Thinking of changing mine as well.
@BrokenVikingOutdoorsАй бұрын
It definitely feels more rigid, but having used it quite a few times now, I think it needs to be reconfigured on the ends, as that is where the forces tend to want to push it in. The guyline attachment points need to be looked at on the ends too, as they don't seem to provide much strength at the height they are. Caveat, I haven't used it in gale force winds yet, as where I wild camp, it's heavily forested which gives some degree of wind protection. Apart from a potential tree landing on me of course. It feels stronger on the sides, which is the opposite of what it should be. But to sum up, adding thicker poles or doubling up is relatively cheap insurance when out in harsh conditions. Still a great tent and has its purpose, but myself and others have noticed the same issues, so It's not just heresay. The Hilleberg BL Soulo would be the one for harsh, exposed high elevations at this point. I do hope Nortent takes a look as they have in the past with end user suggestions etc. I'm not abandoning the brand as others have, and a Gamme 6PC hot tent will be my next tent from them.

I also enjoyed the change of scenery, as a Viking myself, for some reason I always end up watching British wild camping videos. And although they are great on itself, it is always the same recipe. Walking up a barren hilltop and pitch the tent, often in crappy weather with a few beers, some banter and good fun This woodland adventure was a nice change of pace and something different.
