Usually i just skip lores and documents on every game, but this. I like this. The narration makes it interesting and cool. I wish games use narration like this in their lore and documents. It's kinda boring for me to just read it quietly.

According to Aztec myth, the circumstances of your death determined where your soul or spirit had to go in the afterlife. For example: those who died by drowning were sent to Tlalocan, the realm of Tlaloc, Lord of Rain and Storms, and if you drowned it was said that Tlaloc himself had sent one of his emissaries to retrieve you. Women who died in childbirth were given the same honor and funeral rites as warriors who died in battle and it was believed that they became the sunlight in the afterlife. Mictlan was a bit different from the other afterlives. It served as a purgatory-like realm where the souls embarked in a long and extremely dangerous journey. It was customary to leave offerings to the recently deceased, hoping that the gifts would aid the dead in their multi-year journey across Mictlan (this would later become the basis of the Day of the Dead).
