thank you man, it's really good to know it can be done ! I suppose/hope that's the case also with the Behringer MS-5 and MonoPoly

… also the editing in this one was crazy. I never seen the “reading glasses” come out so many times in an episode. The editing at 44:52 should be a staple. Imagine that after all the zero missions in gta San Andreas.

No this was actually one single midi file with 4 voices max. I stumbled upon the files and thought it would be funny to play it on the Poly D

You didnt tell us how to hook this prdal to amp! Why are there 2 cables out of the one side? Where do they go?? No help here. Moved on.

You can hook it up to TWO AMPS at the same time, man. Put one amp on the left, one on the right... For that "dual mono" effect😮

Stereo out? One is left, and one is right. That's a pretty basic feature that I don't think it needs explaining.

Finally found this video, which make it the most clear to me. So i would like to know which is the lowest bpm you can go with the delay?
@timothy_synth
@timothy_synth 6 ай бұрын
Hey man. Sorry for the late response! The Delay goes reaaally slow. I used it around 55 BPM ones and the Delay timed just fine. I dont know where the limit is, but you can always go double-time and just reduce the feedback 👍🏻

I found your conversion when I had a similar thought about the MonoPoly, which is basically the same set up. Adding another keyboard to my set up, is something I want to avoid due to limited desk space, I also want to be able to be able to gig and small venues will also have limited space. Now I am thinking how great the Poly D would look above the MonoPoly in this format. And Behringer have a MS 5 in the same folding keyboard design coming.

@@timothy_synth Now I am wondering about DIY ribbon cable connectors. Thinking of adding and male and female connecter and splitting the cable. That way, it could be easily removed and re-attached, without having to remove the cable from the boards.

I wish they would make a desktop version of this, I like a desktop configuration where you have multiple synth modules surrounding you and a single midi keyboard in the center sending signal via a midi router, don't like the idea of moving around to turn a knob.
@timothy_synth
@timothy_synth Жыл бұрын
A man of culture I see. My current setup is exactly that, the Arturia Keystep surrounded by Synths. After all, I dont think the Poly D would make a great Desktop Module. The sound isnt that fat tbh. The Model D sounds way more brutal when comparing Mono synthesis.

So what was the technical reasoning behind ditching the lfo / modwheel section?
@timothy_synth
@timothy_synth Жыл бұрын
Not sure what you mean with „technical reasoning“, this whole project is just a Meme. The LFO and Modwheel is a small seperate casing, kind of like a Module and is directly connected to the Mainboard via a very cheap & short cable. You could go the extra route and replace the cable with a longer & braded one. But there is also not really a reason to disassemble the Poly-D like I did 🤷🏻‍♂️😁
