Nice to know there are other hardcore fans out there. This is more than a movie to me. I know every line. I know Eddie's car is a 1973 Chevy Impala. I know Fastway from "Say what you will" growing up. I know Nuke is his nick name. His full name is Norman "Nuke" Torouque.But most of all...Leslie. Leslie Graham. What a crush I still have on her to this day. I was waiting at 11:59 pm on Aug. 1st waiting for MTV to premier with the Buggles in front of my tube TV set with the cable box on top cued up for 12am. I am the 80s. Wish I could jump into the Trick or Treat movie and hang out with Eddie, Leslie and Roger. No false Metal. No wimps.

And just one more thing, despite not having watched this since 90 the moment he says "You sing power" where encouraging the audience to sing along has oddly stuck in my head forever "T U R T.. YOU SING POWER!" kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5akfZuDmr16prMm55s

Oh and I still adore the theme song TURTLE POWER (Which I bought on 7") and at one time I knew all the words and could recite them much to the amazement and enthusiasm from my cousins. Still hilarious it makes so many factual errors in the story it tells in the lyrics.. "Raphael... he's the leader of the group, transformed from the norm by the nuclear goop" he's not the leader and the goop wasn't nuclear - it was alien. And at some point I must change it to G O T H I C POWER

They probably will but I don't see it 😂 Fantastic podcast I really enjoyed it

Card games are fun but as I get older I find myself preferring plastic to cardboard. 100% agree that prices should come down though, GW needs to stop pricing things based on their power level and just offer models for standard prices. I think there is a real discussion of potential profits there, getting more people to play can make up for lost margins on overly expensive miniatures but obviously I'm not part of their business and am only assuming.
@AndrewHawnt2 ай бұрын
Exactly! The idea of lower prices = higher sales makes perfect sense to me! The minis don't cost much to make and the markup is insane. Maybe it's because higher sales would overstretch the one factory they have?

I picked up a copy of The Alchemist for 50p + postage which was a couple of quid a few yrs back. There are some bargains to be had but on the other hand alot of tapes seem to sell for an obscene amount. Sellers definitely know what their doing particularly when selling video nasties lol
@AndrewHawnt2 ай бұрын
Oh yes indeed! When I first got heavily got into collecting I could get nasties for 20-30 quid but they've gone crazy of late. I sometimes wonder if some of those expensive tapes are copies I once owned!
@Dlj712 ай бұрын
@@AndrewHawnt Possible but it's hard to distinguish with some. The most I've shelled out for regarding nasties is an uncut Absurd which set me back £80 a while back... although the tape looks ok, I wonder if the label and in particular, the box cover is authentic. I've been looking at Night of the demon and was tempted at £79 but let it go. The seller has bumped the price up to £99 this evening in a re- list. 🤔 Hmm

The original movie is an absolute cult classic, As kids all we did was talk about Brandon Lee And the curse of the Lee family, I only ever saw the first sequel But unlike yourself I was not impressed, I'm kind of glad they never made the rob zombie crow, One of my friends has seen the new movie and says, It's alright, Not great just an average movie But not as bad as others make it out to be, He said they would have been better to make this movie under a different name And then he thinks some of the hardcore original fans may have gone to see it, I'm not sure how wise it is to try and Remake or reboot A cult classic like the crow, I think it should have just been left alone personally And I think that's the problem and why the movie flopped because nobody was really asking for it, Fantastic video thanks for telling us about those other movies

I play a lot of One Page Rules games these days, started during 9th edition 40K. Miniatures agnostic, so the players with GW models can still use their minis. One of us bought the Age of Darkness box, which gave him a bloody huge army to play in OPR.

Thanks for showing this. I collect a few Ex-rental Blockbuster video VHS's mainly for the nostalgia of the store experience and how exciting it was but also for the fantastic artwork that looks so good on the big boxes. I use them purely as retro decoration and I'm also sentimental to the fact that the tape has a lot of history behind it being rented out and watched by many. With online streaming now and instant access it just doesn't compare to going to the store on a weekend and getting to rent the movie you wanted. 😃
