I get straight edge, but the anti sex thing is cringeworthy. I don’t get how that got roped in with being straight edge, sex is objectively healthy.

The bassist of this band is now known to be an active member of the Democratic socialists of America. Made a complete 180 On what he believed during this band’s existence.

Harley Flanagan statet, that he was in the brawl this Song is about and that he did not see one of these Kids there. But...erm...I'm an old german guy and wasn't there either😂 But I don't care. I like the music they made and that's all. Posing and acting as the big guy belongs to the Hardcore Business as fish to the water. Nevermind!

This is most certainly a quality tune. Classic American Oi! and despite the crap that's been talked about this band, they were never Nazi nor anything near it. Patriotic, anti-communist and full of working class pride which is more than allrite with me. They also had a multi-ethnic line up and following and instrumental in marking the transition from skinhead hardcore to what became a distinct American Oi! sound. Legendary band and total respect to 'em.

Yea. We in Europe loved them to. Never saw em as 'nazi' (what is even that!?) Nothing wrong being proude of your race or of your country.

Exactly . A lot of us New Yorkers and hardcore kids now adults are conservatives/patriots Not all of us are woke or leftist. Don’t mean we’re racist we just want to preserve what our grandparents fought for

You're a soldier on the frontline Like the youth of yesterday You're standing in the crossfire And you're living day by day Now life has lost itsmeaning And your heart, it feels no love You're waiting for the kill And you can almost taste the blood THE ROAD IT LEADS TO HELL AND YOU LIVE A LIFE OF SORROW YOU KNOW THERE'S NO RETURN AND THERE'S NO HOPE FOR TOMORROW Warm blood flows through your veins You anticipate the battle You don't know what fate awaits Nor the outcome of the struggle The memories you've held Of the ones you left behind Have all but faded away With your faith in mankind!!!!

Would love to hear more about this side of the scene. I’ve read a few books from 80s NYHC guys but none of them really mention this side of the scene, not in any detail anyway.
