How did you make them explode? Were they filled with gasoline or something?

They have a special mixture of fuel inside them to actually prevent explosions. What makes them appear to explode is the hydro-static shock of the bullet hitting a contained liquid. When the high speed bullet hits a contained liquid, it explodes into a mist. Since there is fire present with our fuel mist, the fuel ignites very rapidly. This creats a huge fireball making it look like an explosion. As I mentioned before it is a special mixture that is used in my profession so please DO NOT try this at home. Check out guys shooting water bottles in slow motion and you will see the hydro static shock that occurs. Shooting watermelons is also a great example of this phenomenon. Fun to watch too!

Great video! Thanks for sharing. I worked around these fantastic machines when I was a wildland firefighter in the western U.S., I got to fly in MD 500's, AStars, Bell 206s, but I never had the pleasure of flying in a 205 or 212. One day...

this aircraft needs some rotor track and balance, by how much the camera was shaking there you have a high vertical vibe for sure!

It was during my uni student years (1990) in Edmonton, Alberta..Canada that I had my first experience in flying seating on the left side in a fixed wing Cessna ( AERO AVIATION, Edmonton ) . Ever since then dream of having the qualification to be a Rotary pilot but end up just a fixed wing PPL. I do missed my flying years .. Now back in my home country Brunei.

Wow ! Excellent video ! Very nice footage with some glimpse on the cockpit. Brings back old memories. I used to fly with my father when I was a kid on a B212.
