Do it! A lot of people were baptized before knowing the importance of it or having made a personal decision of faith for themselves. So many choose to be baptized again after making their faith their own! :)

Still not sure how I feel about spooktacular. God has not given us a spirit of fear so the name alone seems off. I understand the concept of reaching people but do we conform to ways of this world to do it?

Amanda, It is so important to ask these questions. Our church has never been averse to using popular media and art to point people to Christ. Our almost weekly secular specials since we started as a church also echos this. Here is the PLUS of us holding this event..... 1. We saw the most people for church on a Sunday morning since Easter. 2. We had almost 400 people come who don't go to church anywhere. 3. Many families had atheist family members come that would not have come to church otherwise. 4. We have seen many people return in the weeks since this event. We are seeing INCREDIBLE LIFE change as a result of connecting to our community through this event. We believe this is exactly what God wanted us to do and we have seen the result of why. Never would we glorify darkness or evil and we did our best to tie in to the FUN side of the season. Thank you for sharing your heart and hopefully this sheds a little more light on this. :)
