I too met Gary Burghoff up in Mississauga, Ontario, at the Purina “Retriever Trials. I was playing guitar in a “show band” at the trials for a couple of weeks, and Mr. Burghoff would come down and have a mini-interview of sorts during the “show.” When he was done speaking, he would sit in on drums with us for some “jamming.” VERY humble guy!! 🥹

I had read she felt mislead by Sherwood Schwartz during the casting. She was under the impression the show would revolve around her a famous Hollywood actress stranded on this island with these bumbling dopes who couldn't get her rescued. As the show went on she became little more than a background character in many of the episodes. Add to that now being type cast it probably cost her other gigs. I think she had a right to be salty.

Elizabeth Montgomery was also ABSOLUTELY AMAZING in the movie she did about Lizzy Borden. Wow! Beautiful, sexy, elegant, and a really talented actress. A real class act. I can't believe she passed at such a young age. 62 isn't super young, but it's far from old. To put things in perspective, my late mother passed a couple years ago at the ripe old age of 93! 62 doesn't seem that old to me. I really hope she's flying around the atmospheric continuum up there with all the other witches and warlocks of the cosmos! She was such an amazing lady. I really admired her, especially her commitment to the gay community and those afflicted with AIDS. I pray she finds peace and happiness wherever her spirit is.
