I’m super bullish on TSLA. I don’t think it will ever dump like it did in 2021. Technical wise, it’s breaking out above all time highs, usually that’s not a gentle process. But fundamentally, FSD and Optimus are going to be game changers. I’m thinking 2.5-3 trillion in the next 3-5 years!

started watching this journey when you got pummeled for 8k. if I've learned one thing in the market its to hold as long as there's no bs catalyst and like you said its a good company. for how long is to be seen but as long as you play it right like you did at minimum you'll break even. well done! ps shooting myself in the foot after seeing ENPH at $59 and not buying a couple, never heard of the company before so was weary but congrats again!

So I’ll make a slight profit on shares selling them at $80, (average cost 77.58) and I’ve been collecting premium along the way! About 4% a month in covered calls and cash secured puts! So total will have probably made around 5-6k off of ENPH if it’s above 80 in February.

First solar imo is just a much safer energy stock. PE is at 17 compared with 144 and trying increase the bottom line of a solar energy company is not going to be easy. 90%+ of their net income comes from subsidies which aren't going to increase with Trump as president. FSLR hasn't been hammered the same way with a Trump presidency.

Agree! For 2024 it’s currently trading at a PE 29. And a 2025 PE of 16, according to seeking alpha. But yes I agree first solar is better. This was strictly a trade for premium that has went against me. Now slowly working my way out while still collecting premium

What are the indicators a stock price won't get any better and should cut my loss?

I’d cut my losses if the company went to absolute crap. Rn they are profitable, still growing (2025 expected to be a nice 80% growth year) no insiders are selling. Great balance sheet. So if those things start changing I’d consider cutting

@@Ozz10ITM but how do you call it in the moment? idk if it's greed, early honeymoon fascination or just me being optimistic every time a stock I bought goes down I always just say "Oh it will go up 10 folds..hopefully" and sometimes it comes out true and im pounding dirt for selling, sometimes it doesnt so im pounding more dirt for not selling. And I joined the day Trump became president elect so this is happening more often for me. Things are to volatile Are there are stocks you would suggest for beginners? what did you start on? I heard of day trading, folks that buy and sale their shares in moment after seeing a jump, or even swing traders. I would like to do that but I don't know what tools these people use to monitor. I have transferred my account from margin to cash account so I can do just that. But now i dont know what to double down on. idk the softwares these guys user, the strat, the stocks they go for etc. Any advice would be nice.

@@jakeleo4518 you cut your losses when the market tells you you’re wrong. Cut all losses at 5-7% and you’ll never suffer a big loss. If the stock starts to set up again you can always buy back. This guys down 30% and needs a 50% gain just to break even. It gets worse and worse, Enphase falls another $15 and he needs 100% gain to break even.

@jakeleo4518 day trading being a beginner is a recipe for disaster. Trust me I’ve tried. And even with what I know now, the amount of stress and time it takes isn’t worth it for me. I’d suggest taking a paper money account and practicing on that, that way you won’t lose any real money. And if you can end the month profitable then maybe try real funds

@ my two top rules are always use a stop loss(5-7%) and NEVER average down. Those two rules keep from getting into your situation here. Good luck dude
