The caring, supportive ❤ of Patty Loveless. She saw Vince was having a difficult time, and she stepped in to help him. Then gave him a loving, reassuring rub on his back to let him know she's there for him. She also stepped away from her career for years to be a caregiver for her husband when he was having some serious health issues. Patty Loveless is the epitome of a good wife and a good friend.

Vince Gill came into my life way after George Jones. George Jones was never forgotten in my life as his music was always heard in whatever prison cell I lived in. I heard Vince Gill way later in my life but my interest was waiting to hear him in any walk of life as he wasn't phoney, ( he was as real as George Jones and down to earth.) I knew about George Jones be by the public domain or my understanding about his life what he was all about. Tammy Wynette was part of such life God bless them both. The Life of George Jones and many country singers have left me with the greatest respect for them all. George Jones will never leave my senses, and for Vince Gill and Patty Loveless to pour their hearts out only magnify's my love for them all. May the Country western singers, Mr. George Jones, Mr. John Cash, Mr. Merle Haggard Mr. Waylon Jennings, Mr. Marty Robbins, and on and on, may they be united in the SPIRT OF GOD'S GLORY FOREVER AND EVER, AMEN.

This is my fav version with Patty singing almost the lead. Vice writing this song this from Kieth Whitney when he passed in 1989 but didn't finish it until years later when his brother passed. Not a dry eye in the place... ❤😂

Patty and Vince both deserve a lot of applause for singing this song in the obvious emotional state that they were both in..Patty done an Excellent job of taking care of Vince when his voice broke. She's not just a performer she's a lady! Love you Sweet Pea and maybe your voice quit on you s couple times but your love and respect for George never once waivered! You are awesome Mr. Gill and George would be proud of you..RIP Mr Jones and thank you for all the wonderful music you left us.

Beautiful song and performance. Vince tried so hard to keep it together and I'm sure it was hard for him to even get through with what he did and thanks to Patty for backing him up. They are truly a treasure as they are apart from one another.
