This is such a weird ship, but you can’t get an itinerary better than the Italy/Greece one. I’m going on the Epic in July 2025 (apparently after they do some refurbishments starting in April). 11 days, 10 ports. I’m traveling with friends, not a significant other, so the bathroom design is going to be weird but I guess it would be nice to be able to use the toilet and sink when the other person is showering.

Where are the windows on this shopping mall? This boat looks like hell with 6000 plus people, minimal windows and sterile modern design. Ill take Vision Class on Royal!

Good tour nicely done. However, you completely missed deck 19 &20 FORWARD. Public sundecks with a bar, hot tubs and amazing forward views of the bow. Also Vibe Beach Club, the extra pay adult only sundeck with upgraded lounges, private bar and restrooms, plus snacks.

I use this train regularly. When things work well, then it is a very convenient way of travelling to Munich. HOWEVER, more often than not, there are travel disruptions, substitute busses or in the worst case scenario, which happens all way too often, the German border police holds the railcars for too long on the border, causing it to miss the other train, which is supposed to take them further to Munich. In that case, a staff which speaks only German just hands you a list of three connecting regional trains you have to take instead to get to your destination. No apology, no refunds. Good luck, if you are travelling with lots of luggage or have a child on a wheelchair. It is a shame, because the concept of this train is very good in theory and having a reliable and cheap connection to Munich opens large opportunities for further travels to Western Europe.

All (all) airline food is garbage. The type of food you'd send back to the kitchen in any restaurant. Yep, I'm old... but I well remember my first international flight with my folks in 1968. ORD - LHR on the infamous TWA770, 707. First class. Dinner was served by a chef, donned in a wrapped, full length white apron and tall chefs hat, carving prime rib from a silver rolling cart. How far we've come. And dressed like slobs.

Best review by far. Calm, great flow, thorough, and in depth on things the average cruiser can do (not haven) lol

BA business class seats on A380 and some of the 777 are the worst of any airline. How can you cramp 8 business class seats in a row, seats are not much wider than premium economy. Stay clear of that plane configuration. Now their 777W seats are suite type with a privacy door and are outstanding. Study your airplanes before you book a BA flight.

On most lines there is a train or alternative connexion every 30 minutes, and most trains have a relatively large capacity, and most trips done are short. So need for reservations or catering. The Intercity trains were bought when relatively cheap and high capacity trains were needed, also being multifunctional for the whole country. But you are right, for the ‘only’ longer trip in Belgium to Luxemburg, these trains are not ideal.

A Diamond line present, but not allowed to use it as a Diamond member. That's where I would've been kicking off big time. We're on the World Europa next year in the YC. In the unlikely event that they don't let us use the YC line, they better come up with some amazing compensation to stop me from camping in front of the customer service desk. I know I know, first world problems, but I work for my money, so if I've paid good money, I expect to get what I deserve in return.

Thanks for the review. However you visited the Polaris lounge with a wonderful range of food and what do you choose? A bloody burger! Your 'savoir faire' overwhelms me my friend. Next time, visit MacDonald's, you will be much more happier there.

Nice review, but I hate the cabin layout so much, that won't even go on this ship if the cruise was free. I want a traditional stand alone bathroom. The bathroom in the cabin concept is awful. No way in the world would i go on this ship, not even if it was 100% free.

The lack of privacy is not good for anyone travelling alone.

Thanks for a really engaging review. We were on the Escape for an 11 day cruise. It's a deceptively large ship and we never got round all the activities and venues. Unfortunately we found the food in the buffet to be a bit of hit and miss but always managed to find a seat with amazing rear wake views. We were staying in the haven but the menu ran out of steam after 7 days. Fortunately NCL had included in our fare the at sea package which came with 2 speciality dining venues and a drinks package along with with WiFi which we upgraded to full streaming for a really modest price. We should have added another speciality restaurant venue and we would have been fine. The previous year we had sailed RCL Odyssey of the season in a J4 suite but found the daily rate to be on par with our NCL Escape suite, so definitely NCL was better value for money taking into account perks and the whole cruising experience.

I would feel very claustrophobic in a studio suite although I love the lounge perks.

Everything about BA sucks. Whoever thought of seats that face each other - was prob drunk. I wouldnt even sit there if i get a seat for free.

Typical poor service, lack of responsibility and rude people one finds in Europe. I have seen flight attendants shout and scream at an elderly Asian man. They threatened to throw him off the flight. Service people act as they are the boss and the customers are their underlings. Boooo!

Hi. Great videos. In general, what were the staff and customer service like? I've always been under the impression that even though MSC have a few things they can do better, the customer service has always been excellent. However, I've watched a couple of videos now, specifically of the World Europa, where people say it has not been good at all. Would like to know your honest opinion.

Nice review. I did business class on this flight in reverse, Dublin to Chicago. Just so you know business class isn't really a thing on inter European flights as the flight durations are so short. The best you'll get is a row with 3 seats with the middle seat blocked off.

Great video! I'm surprised about your bad experience in Marseille as we embarked from there three times already (once for MSC World Europa) and we liked it precisely because it wasn't as crowded as Genova (from our home both ports are less than 5 hours far by car), maybe we were just lucky (or you unlucky 🙂).

It sounds like they make using your Perks as difficult and complicated as possible.

Aer Lingus no longer uses Terminal 5 at O'Hare. They fly to terminal 3 now and I find it better because you don't have to take the airport transfer train from terminal 5 to terminal 3 to get the train to downtown Chicago.

I've traveled that route about 30 times over the years with Aer Lingus and they're generally pretty good. TIP: Get yourself a cheap Bluetooth transmitter, pair it first and then take it with you and plug that into the headphone jack of the aircraft and you'll connect with no issues. Buy the cheap one's because 7 times out of 10 you'll forget it when you're getting off the plane 🙂
