Filming elevators and escalators is a unusual hobby and people may think it’s weird but it's worth checking out because of the various types that have evolved over time and the history of how they operated; the old kind is definitely a throwback to the past. From analogue indications, when the light bulb behind each letter and number would illuminate each floor and scroll across each time you passed a floor, to electronics, you could see how the buttons and interiors changed over time. It's also wonderful to go discover some to relive and feel the past, as the vintage ones are gradually disappearing and being either completely replaced or modified.

Please slow down your pans! For best results you need to plan ahead and it also helps to not overuse the zoom. Our eyes and brain have the capacity to adjust for changes in our visual field called accommodation but we lose that ability when looking at a narrow field of view in any projected image.
