Wht spot you fishing? Got a trip to the lake planned in two weeks snd looks nice there. Shallow enough for the kids
@anadventureoutdoors15 күн бұрын
This is right below the damn. And it’s packed with trout. I used a little rooster tail in this video and worked great. But you can also put some shrimp on a hook with a bobber for the kids. This works well also. The damn generates water at night so the morning the water is usually up and thru out the day it gets lower.

I’m thinking about buying these instead of a boot style, but my main concern is how well they keep gravel out. It’s either buy these and some neoprene socks, or buy boot style with the gravel guide socks but that’s even more money. What do you think after buying them and comparing them to other wading boots ? I mostly fish in creeks and rivers
@Jake2020abc23 күн бұрын
I use these weekly. After a year they still absolutely rock. I was spectacle about spending so much money on them because neoprene ones was what I usually where but they keep my getting holes in them. After about ten hours of wading it seems like sand does build up a little under my socks. But I just clean them when I get home. Wash them out so that the next time I put them on there’s nothing in them. I like the neopreme wading shoes better but they don’t have comfortable soles and they would get holes in them from rocks. I would rather have these simms. But no rocks whatsoever ever get in them.

Loved your take on the Haven. You hit the nail on the head. I just received my xl a few days ago. Most reviews stress either car camping or not for hiking. I agree with you that the niche for the Haven is canoe or kayak camping. Also, thanks for the straightforward plain English explanation of the setup.

The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!

@anadventureoutdoors yes I do have a very very extremely wide foot. My foot is a sz 15 6E wide which is a 6 1/2 inches wide foot. I can find a sz15 in shoes but I can't find anything that wide enough for my foot that is 6 1/2 inches wide. Socks are the same. I can find a sz15 but they are not wide enough for my foot. I was barefooted 👣 for a while Entire year when my foot outgrow shoes , socks , & boots & it was the worst Time of my life because I lost my job because I couldn't work barefooted 👣 & I couldn't find any flip flops that was in my sz13 at the time. This was back in 1991 & 1992 . The only job that I could get was at a pool Service company that service pool doing the summer cuz they let me work barefooted 👣 there. But it was only a summer job. I had a friend that help me get a job with him that Allow me to wear flip-flops 🩴to work & I have been there for 20 years now & still wearing my flip flops 🩴 there to this day because that the only footwear that will fit on my extremely wide feet 🦶 I have. The Owner of the company give me a pair of flip flops 🩴 for a Christmas gifts every year to wear for work. I have 6 boys & they all have very wide feet 🦶 as well so I got my hands full. My 3rd son John His foot done already outgrow socks already it just a Matter of time before it outgrows his shoes. That's just how wide his foot is. I don't think they make a shoes that wide enough for my wide feet 🦶 I have. Thank you buddy for replying back. I appreciate that.

I started out with the cheap stuff, the Walmart Equip $19.88, the Aldi Adventuridge $14.99 and the HarborFreight Parachute $14.99. All are too short for anyone over 5’6” tall, none come with a bug net, and the suspension systems are crap. The OneWind is a legit hammock for adults and comes with a lot of features that are sold separately (if at all) with other brands. You can even get a tarp with your OneWind hammock and a detachable bug net. Yes it costs more than the kiddy hammocks mentioned above. But it’s still cheaper than any other brands with the desired extras.
