Sweet guitar you got there! Keeping my eyes open for a 70s burst deluxe thats been converted to full size HB’s. This a keeper or will you eventually sell?

Hey! Thanks a lot for your comment! I've been looking for a guitar like this since I was like, what... 14 years old? Something like that. This one is definitely a keeper. I got it from Reverb. Check out there, you may find "the one"!! Cheers!

@@aleixlozzano I hear ya on that! In this year range do they all come with same value pots and wiring configuration as the 59/60 bursts?
@aleixlozzano9 ай бұрын
@@RussC123 I think they're not! The Norlin Era guiars are quite different from a 58-59-60s. I do know this one has CTS pots but it's wired differently. But you can easy do the 50s wiring, just like I did! That's the reason why she cleans up so nicely with the volume pots.

@@aleixlozzano doesn't it just blow modern LPs away ? You couldn't even get this action on a modern one, never owned a les paul that you could even set the action too low on ! I've owned at least 7 gibson les pauls, and they are mere shadows of my 75. Plays and sounds as good or better than my buddies 68 LP
@aleixlozzano Жыл бұрын
@@arfboucher3855 few days ago I did a comparison between the 75 and a Custom Shop R8. Both GREAT guitars, with great voice, feel and playability, but each one had a very different tone. The R8 sounded like Slash, Gary Moore or even post-90s Angus Young, it was modern and agressive, lots of bite. On the other hand, the 75 had that classic/vintage tone, very similar to Paul Kossoff, Billy Gibbons or early Eric Clapton. Very, very different tones, I was really surprised. Yesterday I played a 2014 Standard... ad that was another kinda thing. Seemed like a toy to me... 😂😂😂

Awesome 👍 I love it. I just dropped the very first mix video, that I ever did. It's a CCR : Long as I can see the light + Clapton: Tears In Heaven. I was half of a duet, in both songs. It's really bizarre, but I released it as a soundtrack for the lil folk art video, which consists of my own pictures, as I don't have permission to share her image. It's amazing how fast it was picked up by major YT music platforms. ❤ Thx for the lesson here. That's the next step. I only do blues harp by ear thus far. 😊 I made the cover, my own artwork, my profile picture. In case you want to see/listen to it.

This wasn’t recorded on his Rickenbacker. He recorded on his Gibson ES-175 that was stolen after he recorded the entire Bayou Country.

Went to an Iron Butterfly concet way, way back in the day at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorim and Creedence was second bill. My friends and I were tripping on lsd. Creedence totally blew our minds It was like psychedelic hoodoo music from the very first note of Born on the Bayou. I can still hear my old hound dogs barking chasing down a hoodoo there.

@@aleixlozzano You don't quite have it at 0:23. Anchor at the 7th position with index finger across 4-3-2-1 strings. In the Woodstock and Royal Albert footage, 1969 and 1970, you can see the actual positions and fingerings Fogerty uses on the album. You are missing the subtle work on the 3rd string.

@@aleixlozzano I know it seems like he plays A(9th)-C#(11th) at that one spot, but it's actually A(10th)-E(9th)-A(7th) across 2-3-4 strings. It gets even weirder with the figure on the E chord after the D-A-E changes.
