I was a 17 year old Australian when I saw this on TV in 1995. All I thought I knew about Dead Kennedys were they were some sort of skater band and wasn't looking forward to seeing an interview with a guy called "Jello Biafra", I mean what kind of a name was that? Little did I know how ignorant I was and how this one little interview would change my perspective on music, art the government and so many things going forward. Thank you Denton for being the only commercial television show at the time to give a genius like this airtime in Australia. My life was forever changed.

Todays music is pretty poor compared to this legends' music. An American woman released a song recently in which all she talks about is fellatio. Nothing else. It's a rap song, and it's absolutely god awful. I bet she wouldn't even know which way to hold a guitar, let alone play one. And yet she sold millions of copies... It's hard to blame the music Industry alone when there are millions of people who seem to enjoy that kind of thing. Me? If they can't smash a power riff out and engineer their own music then they're not even worthy to be called a top musician. Angus is one of the very, very best. There is no higher praise.

These blokes gave us the Aussie rock sound and beat. When they started the terms heavy metal and punk didn't exist. There sound was unique and different to British and American bands. Acca Dacca and the Easy Beats introduced our version of rock'n'roll to the world who sometimes saw us as 2nd hand copies and only folk singers like the Seekers or that arsehole rolf the cunt harris. 😎👍

We must have left from a different entrance/exit point because the first we knew about was the next day on the news. What an awesome concert. Can't remember the name of the local first warm up band but they nailed it. And then came on The Party Boys with John Swann at lead......they were so good. And then the main event ...WHOO HOO only ACDC can do ACDC and I think they did 5 encores. 7 years in Adelaide with the RAAF. So many memories and that one was a ripper :) :) :)
