@@ooch-s1v Yes, that was done with video editing software. However, on a Mac you can achieve a similar thing in System Settings > Accessibility > Zoom. You might need to play around with the settings a bit.

Thanks. Do you mean you were asked for a review in the Fudget 2 app after the walkthrough?
@edu22125 күн бұрын
@@MakeAppswithDanny yeah that's what I ment! It's fine for me but I felt that it didn't align with what you said on the video
@MakeAppswithDanny4 күн бұрын
@@edu2212 I see what you mean. I meant what I said at the time. However, after I released Fudget 2, I was receiving a lot of negative reviews (average rating was 3.9) and this was really hurting the app. You can learn more about why this happened here: www.fudget.com/fudget1 I was working with a well known app marketing agency (discovered here on KZbin). They recommended prompting for the star rating soon after launch. I was reluctant to do this. However, it did work and the average rating is now quite high. I think this is because, when you only ask for the star rating, most people just tap 5 stars (just to get rid of the pop-up). It's a bit sneaky, but it was necessary at the time. The downside of this is that I don't get many written reviews now (mostly just the star rating). However, I may start asking for a more detailed review after the user has used the app for a while. Or, I might just get rid of this early prompt altogether (now that the negative reviews have died down a bit). 👍

Not sure why but I have the exact version of Node js installed as shown in the video and also Quasar/cli but it is not even giving the "Quasar App CLI with Vite 2" as an option. I only get "Quasar App CI with Vite" . i also am not getting the composition api selection during the project init. Would appreciate any tips

1:16:25 why do we need 'reactive' when we already have 'ref'?
@MakeAppswithDanny23 күн бұрын
Reactive is more used for Objects of reactive data. Of course, you can also put an object in a ref, however you would need to do myObject.value.myProperty to access the values. With a reactive object you can just do myObject.myProperty.

I would recommend Capacitor these days. When I was building Fudget 2, some of the Cordova plugins weren't working, so I switched to Capacitor. The good thing about Capacitor is that many of the Cordova plugins also work with it 👍

Why do you use hooks for simple functions as currency formatting ? Isn't it better to use simple utility function and use hooks only for functionality that contains reactivity and lifecycle methods ? I'm react dev and new to vuejs, just trying to understand the concepts. Thanks !
@MakeAppswithDanny2 ай бұрын
Thanks for your message. We are not using a hook for the currency formatting, it is basically just a utility function. We put it in a composable so that we can reuse it in different parts of the app. 👍
