He didn’t swing with Gedatsu. I rested it with leader ability after he swung with leader. He had to play Gedatsu first in case I took life on leader swing. Then he wouldn’t have been able to KO urouge

@@vaaitorcm Boa you just have to dodge. It’s by far the worst matchup for Bonney. Doffy isn’t bad really. I would say 50/50. You just have to out resource them. They don’t have true draw in the deck so you just focus on board and getting cards out of hand. Also playing around pudding and countering out in mid game allows you to play hody to help control board. If they jinbe twice it can get dicey.

@@albertpnc yeah they were there but I didn’t play against any in this event. BY Luffy ended up winning this event.

@@nolanrivas9049 focus on getting urouge or cavendish on board early because it gives you the ability to still play on curve and leader ability which is important. Also without one of those 2 on board, your searchers are not doing anything after turn 2 because you typically don’t have the extra don to search

@@TORQU3BOWKING fwiw I think the only misplay was the otama. Using Gordon to make a rested Hawkins 4k to swing into isn’t bad imo. And that was 2 separate turns. don’t think it mattered either way and not sure what else Gordon was doing this game besides dead card in hand.

@@padillangel93 I have been talking to other players and I’m going to test out rosinante for post ban as I think it’s more useful than kid in the black matchup. For pre-ban, hope you see Hawkins and they don’t see finger pistol. Against black you need to be aggressive because you won’t out resource a Moria deck

You are right. Looks like I just missed it because I set them over to the side to remember not to refresh and just forgot. I don’t think the leader mattered because I didn’t swing but I definitely should have been short the 1k counter I got off the searcher. That’s my bad. Luckily it doesn’t seem like it impacted the game too badly.

That is the good part, that it did not impact the game in a big way. Nice content keep up the great work

@@claudiod2128 agree on nobody investing that much to save a vanilla, but that is why I swung at Nami on the off chance he would protect it. At 4 life I value the 4 cards I got out of hand more than clearing the additional 5k body because I’m always going to be able to clear 2 bodies through swings and Moria on the following turn anyways

I realize I am in the minority here but I prefer the flexibility of helmeppo's cost reduction being on play. Toy soldier has to combo with Hiyori off Moria to be effective but helmeppo can combo with Hiyori or Ryuma and helmeppo plus leader lets us hit a rested 8 cost off the moria play with Ryuma. In my opinion it just makes the Moria plays more consistent and I value that over the extra 1k counter. I will acknowledge that you do have the niche play on 10 don to play the toy soldier, trash it, then replay off moria with hiyori to get -6 cost reduction but very niche
