I remember we was trying to get dru hill to sing the song with us. Kinda glad they didn’t after hearing this years later. Woodwinds was smashing this arrangement.

Being a former member and section leader of the BGMM we were a constant rival with NSU but I have to give this organization their just due. Of all the HBCU Bands I've heard play this FAMU, SOUTHERN etc.. The Spartan Legion hands down has the best arrangement of this song. I remember when they played it against us at the band brawl in 2004 and 'til this day I still love to hear them play it. Good Job Legion.
