8K RPM slipping the clutch. At least on a gixxer 600 with the slipper clutches. It just takes practice. Also depends on your weight... but you need the revs because they're dogs under 8K RPM, anyways. Trust me, with the same driver, a fuel injected Gixxer 600 will absolutely dust an sv650. Fuel injected were the K6 and up... with the K6 being possibly the fastest ones made since that was the result of the "600 wars". 16k RPM AND it held together without issues. Yamaha put out their R6 that did 16.5K RPM, trying to beat Suzuki and the engines were blowing up and they had to recall them all.

Huh... i just googled it and it turns out that the R1 has the same amount of power as the CBR 954... i thought the R1 was faster...

Whoever has that extended swing arm doesn't know anything about drag race launching a bike. The point in the swing arm extention is so you can launch at high rpms and ride that clutch, which he instead sluggishly left the line. Both ran a full second slower than bone stock tests have shown. With that swing arm, I'd run a low 10, possibly a high 9, especially with proper upgrades. Those times are 600cc level. Tested numbers are 2003 r1 10.2 137 mph. 2003 cbr954rr 10.4 132 mph. My 96 CBR600F3 ran 10.6 back in 97 with full Yoshi and 1 tooth down front sprocket and riding the clutch from an 8000 rpm launch.

Honestly the sv650s has good low end but not so great top end and is fully tapped out at 125mph the gsxr 600 would smoke it on a highway any day

Until you know how to launch one. It just has more torque down low... so it's easier to launch. Faster, though? Not a chance. There's a little thing called revving the engine lol.

That dude on the gsx-r needs to go back to the msf course. That was the worst launch I've ever seen. Don't let this be an ego boost to all you 650 owner's out there. The gsx-r dude just sucked. I use to launch my Vulcan 650 just as fast, but would get eaten alive after 3rd gear from a 600 if they were a good rider. This guy sucked and they still tied almost.

C'mon man, 600 are cool but the SVs VTwin was made for torque and launching. Sv will always beat a 600 at launch if they are both stock. 600 only faster in straights

It probably could have made10.8 if I had plastics still on, and launched lil better. the wind makes a huge difference! Probably like a .2 difference. I’m not professional so me losing that from wind I don’t really care. The only time it sucks it on the highway

Thank you! the second portion of the video I was trying to get a little less speedometer and more of the track but I got it the other way around unfortunately but at least you can see where I shifted and speed I guess
