So dumb that the track is shorted up like that. Way to destroy a cool track.
@f1hotrod5273 жыл бұрын
Basically an oval with 1 right hand paperclip turn in the middle. So dumb. Also, why don't they add more jumps and a whoop section? You could almost run an outlaw sprint car on these so called off road tracks. Hey, won't it be cool if we take all the off road aspects out of off road racing, that way the trucks will be so fast and it will be so cool......dumb. And thanks ford and chevy for supporting real truck racing (off road) and sponsoring teams in a big way. So glad you didn't take all your money and put it into stock cars shaped like trucks running on paved ovals......dumb.

What belt did they used?
@Lance.West42 жыл бұрын
A jinxed one.... lol. I think they were G-Boost belts (Name brand). these machines have a rubber and Kevlar belt that drives a CVT clutch system. These cars have a lot of power to weight ratio. Much higher than the manufacturer intended. The killer to belts is heat. When they get over 250° the glue that holds them together gets weak. In my case it just wasn't meant to be.. My belt broke as soon as I landed the big jump before the last turn.
@g00gleisgayerthanaids562 жыл бұрын
@@Lance.West4 any reason in particular you run belts over a more traditional gearbox?
@Lance.West42 жыл бұрын
@@g00gleisgayerthanaids56 because that's how they come from the factory. You have to keep the basic configuration the factory engine and trans. You can modify them but must retain stock configuration. Yamaha has a manual transmission and Honda has a true automatic like in a car. If you can keep the belt from breaking the CVT transmission works great. It's always in the perfect rpm. You can look up CVT transmission to see how they work. Great in theory..
@g00gleisgayerthanaids562 жыл бұрын
@@Lance.West4 i understand class/mod restrictions but like you said, there are options to get a real gearbox from factory, was just wondering if you preferred the belt. I went the yxz route, 3 pedal and stick shift = no brainer for me. Just seems more fun even if its not as fast.

Oof on that Robby Gordon comment - he's the first American that not only had the balls to write the checks for a Dakar campaign, but he did it year after year, and even did so in his own privateer developed race car against factory backed works efforts. No one has to like the dude, but he's still the first American to even win a stage in a car, let alone legitimately be competitive. Pretty sure there's a whole lot of people in Dakar that fully respect Robby, in spite of the drama that's followed him(that's what happens when you make waves - still no one else developing privateer cars that are competitive against works teams, no one else short of the Dave Cole types starting their own racing series, no one else in racing starting an energy drink company & sponsoring other racers, etc., nevermind that he's doing all of this SUCCESSFULLY).

That's such a huge class. Championship Off-Road hopefully will continue getting the Pro-Lite, Pro-2, and Pro-4 numbers up. They did a better job this year especially in Pro-4 but that was probably bcuz LOORRS didn't run Pro-4 this year.
