Just heard of this today, but surprisingly found it’s something I’ve done periodically since I was a teenager (I’m 49.) I’m going to try again though with focusing on a challenge. I’m facing many.

i tried this yesterday and the bars are drying now, but it is only maybe ⅛" dried material around them. i just found your video and it says ¼", for the reason i was worried about! i have more wool coming, can i do the process again with another layer over the dried bar? i made two bars, i guess i can experiment needle felting one of them. but i don't think the needles will even go in far enough to reach the barbs, which is the whole point. also, i have to say . . . this video is so cool with the parent's hands and child's hands working doing the project side-by-side.

Yes, you can definitely add more wool on top! Glad you enjoyed the video! 💕

💗✨️Thank you!! A beautiful demonstration and teaching on the how and why behind it all in such a beautiful way in your voice and the visual as well as the notes on the side... I created my first one yesterday after finally the understanding integrated within my heart.. I felt great relief and look forward to exploring more of it. Thank you...Thank you!! ❤💜🧡🙌🏾🌟 p.s.. I prefer the Bic "Mark it" permanent markers, As they have no scent...& are of great quality... and have a Wild Flower garden of vibrant colors. ❤

So... at the beginning of this video, is this a bisque fired piece? I'm wondering if we can do this to a textured greenware without rubbing the texture off.

Yes, it’s bisque fired. It could work on greenware if done quickly (minimal swipes) to bone dry clay. Try on a practice piece first to be safe though.

Great video, I have used this project for my classes for many years! Can you tell me where you got the reference image of red/yellow/green eye that you drew? I've tried to find one like it for this exercise, but this one is so much better than the ones I've found!

This is nothing new or all that interesting. It can be beautiful but usually it’s not very interesting. Tacky abstract expressionism.

When you write your challenge do you write it in the positive outcome eg I am perfectly organised. Decluttering is my overwhelm. Ì watched a neurographic activity last night and she said write your challenge as how you would like to be? Please can you comment.

Actually, the point of the bench hook is to prevent the lino from slipping as you work, not to give your tools something to hit.
@BethanyThiele
@BethanyThiele 2 ай бұрын
It holds the Lino so that your fingers don’t have to. The purpose is still for accuracy and safety.

Hi there, I love this! I'm very excited to do this activity for my daughter's birthday party. Just wondering how much clay is required? Is a 1oz packet enough per child? Thanks so much!
@BethanyThiele

1 oz would be enough but I’d recommend you get some extra in the primary colors and black as well if you are able (to share and be mixed).
