There is not a 'one-fit' answer to your question. It depends on how busy it is on the network and how many fees others are willing to pay. Are we talking about bitcoin here? I would use the site mempool (mempool.space) to check on what the current fee is.

The most important thing is to think about your setup and are aware of the present risks. If you have a fireproof safe and know 100% certain a piece of paper inside there will survive a fire: go ahead. But most people don't have a fireproof safe.

Yes only the first 4 letters per word. Why? Well of each possible word (search for 'BIP39 wordlist') the first 4 letters are unique. When you will execute the recovery process on for example a Ledger or Trezor hardware wallet it will already show you the possible words when you've filled in 2 or 3 letters. You can then choose your word. Knowing the first 4 letters of each word is enough.

I don't think this is a good system at all. You need the full word.

@@suniphoenix9706 For the use of a hardware wallet, which is recommended, you don't need the full word. Software wallets (which are not recommended to use) often require to fill in 12 full words. With a BIP39 word list you can still find the full words knowing the first 4 letters of each word as the first 4 letters are always unique. That's why almost all Seed backup products go for the '4 letters per word' system.

Depends on how busy the network is and what fee you pay in your transaction. Most wallets support an option to select the fee manually or by pressing slow, medium or fast. If this is new to you I would highly advise to do a test transaction first to test it all out. For example 50 euro's of bitcoin.

Hoi, het kan door van alles veroorzaakt worden. Twee mogelijkheden lijken mij het meest waarschijnlijk: de Accounts die je op je nieuwe pc hebt toegevoegd betreffen "adressoorten" en niet de oude waar je ETH en BTC op staan. Of je hebt meer dan 1 Ledger (gehad) en de Ledger die je nu hebt heeft niet de private key er op staan die hoort bij de adressen die je in Ledger Live hebt toegevoegd. Wat betreft de oude adressoorten: Voeg opnieuw een BTC account toe maar klik dan op 'Show all addresses' als hij begint te zoeken naar adressen. En wat betreft ETH is het van belang dat Ledger Live de nieuwste versie heeft. Als dit zou is zou ik ook opnieuw een ETH account toevoegen en kijken of hij dan wel de Legacy adressen ophaalt. Wat betreft de mogelijkheid dat je meer dan 1 Ledger hebt (gehad). Ledger Live geeft simpelweg de adressen weer die je ooit hebt toegevoegd. Ook als ik mijn Ledger aan jouw Ledger Live koppel blijft hij jouw adressen weergeven. En als ik jouw btc/eth probeert te versturen dan zal dat niet lukken omdat ik niet de bijbehorende private key er op heb staan. Daarom geef ik het een kans dat jij ook met de verkeerde Ledger het probeert te versturen. Dus ik weet niet of je meerdere Ledgers hebt of hebt gehad? Of je hebt destijds een fout gemaakt bij het vastleggen van de 24 woorden.
