Boy, crimes like these were very similar over 50 years ago to the way they are now! It's too bad that children still need to be taught these same kinds of lessons!

Wow! I didn't think anyone remembered this! I fondly remember seeing it twice on Captain Kangaroo. It didn’t pique my dad's interest, but I was hooked as I wondered what would become of Alice and Barnaby and how I would save them if I could. (I might put on a life jacket, swim to the boat, row Alice and Barnaby back to shore with the oars in the boat, and possibly teach Alice how to row so she could rescue herself in the future.) And what a coincidence - just last night I dreamed I got lost and made my way back to Boston by boat, when a nice family offered me a boat ride! I remember the narrator for this film, too - he voiced a lot of commercials back then, like the one for the KerPlunk game. Many, many thanks for bringing back this rare gem! (If anyone knows what became of any of the actresses, give a shout.)

Back in the old days kids walked to & from school without adults, same for playing outside til dusk, not unusual at all. Kidnapping/murder was much much rarer back then, most neighbors knew kids on sight & seemed like everyone watched out for everyone else

Is there anyone reading these comments on this account because 3:29 , The police had just pulled over a vehicle with a 10-year-old girl on toe being driven by a man in which the child doesn’t even even know or seen before because this is why children should avoid taking things from strangers at all times because these things happen a lot everywhere.
@lemonhead1627 ай бұрын
Why didn't the clerk grab the girl by the hand and ask the creep what he was doing with her? The cops never find the perp after he has already taken a child!

0:48: Meme: Ooh. Those brownies look delectable for me to eat after healthy and nutritious meals. *licks her lips and teeth* 0:55: Meme: Don’t touch me! *runs out of the store and speed dials Mena’s number on the phone* Hello, Mom. There’s a stranger who’s a man that touched me! He has brown hair and tan skin, and he was wearing a grey business coat on top of a white shirt, matching pants, and black shoes. Besides, do you know him? Mena: No. Meme: Okay, goodbye, Mom. *dials Mena off and speeds dials the police next* Meme: Hello, Mr. Sheriff. This is Meme Beauty Heart. There’s a stranger, who’s a man that tried to touch me inside that candy store! He has brown hair and tan skin, and he was wearing a grey business coat on top of a white shirt, matching pants, and black shoes. Can you please come to me right now? Male Sheriff: Yes, Ms. Meme. Meme: Okay, goodbye. *dials the police off* 4:44: Meme: A construction zone! 5:45: Meme: That man is going to abduct that African-American boy! 5:51: Meme: Like allies, construction zones, dark, isolated, or lonely streets, parking, vague, and empty lots, public restrooms, parks at night, isolated and empty church and school grounds, hitchhikings, empty side streets, culverts, caves, bushes, and old shacks, which are the strangers’ favorite fishing spots, which are dark, isolated, or lonely places, that are stranded shortcuts to the palace because there maybe strangers out there who talk to, grab, kidnap, molest, and kill her like fishermen and fisherwomen, sea anemones, and lion-fishes that fish for easy prey and eat them for their everyday meals. 8:30: Meme: An alley! 8:52: Meme: That man is going to abduct that hard-hat boy!

The most shocking thing here is the parents allowed their little kids to roam big city streets alone. The toddler in the park is especially egregious. As for the 8 year old, we all know that the child would have been dead before the cops located the assailant. Witnesses should be taught to try to intervene in such a kidnapping rather than simply writing down a license number.

I took my gf then wife to the drive in as a cheap date and she loved it as we continued to go. In our town we still had a drive in until 2002 it was run by a local business owner and his wife who also ran the concession stand with their family. I miss that drive in.
