It's good to see Ye do the deals and talk bussines because it actually shows how he cares for the art/product. You hear it in his music of course. But with all his talking in interviews and sometimes beeing off (trump, anti semi, etc.) people someimes forgett. It's good to see him in action and even better not with a big company like Nike or such but on a lower scale or at least more unknown territory (architecture).

Biggest take away was the rich and poor contrast - experiment vs needs in architecture. Overall this sounds like a bunch of creative people taking mushrooms. During the trip they are excited and full of intricate world ideas. After the trip, they are tired and can't remember anything they talked about, and the things they took notes on don't seem as cool as they did during the trip. To put things in perspective Ye recently destroyed a Tadao Ando for his ego.

it's very interesting... he's kinda trolling, but also kinda pointing out some things, like when he mentions the slaves, and then he's talking about doing things for those of lesser means he seems to be, to some degree, poking at the pretentiousness, and he's clearly aware that he's a bit of an exception to be hanging around with this semi-pretentious design/architecture crowd.
