Great video for Product sense interview !!

Very strange framework provided. How you supposed to measure success of the product if you don't even know 1) who are you users 2) what problems you would solve 3) how you solve them over solution - so there is no object of measurements yet at this stage. So metrics should be after solution provided. It only might make sense to define NS metric(-s) if we talking about existing product, but anyway to measure success of new solution will required additional metrics. Same with the Product Vision. You don't even know problem landscape to envision the way you would approach of solve it.

A payroll provider named ABC? Did I hear that right? ADC, ACP? BDP?

Excellent explanation and quite thorough. Just a few question, Why didn't you use Users in your framework? While defining NSM how did you conclude with monthly active watchers?

Just like design has had its time and people have started to realise the value, sound is next. It’ll be the next big thing to add immense value to products, wherever it can. The presenter, for example, can get better at breathing while talking and most people will soon realise to pace their voices well.

In provided example in Define Goal: There From my opinion there is wrong questions defined which should be articulated in Solutions. "watching, playing, Gaming, match updates etc" - are high level solutions already. Which wrong sequence, it might be relevant if we speaking about improving product, but not in design new product. As you bringing solutions for pain points which haven't been defined yet. For example at Google and Meta - it would be strong red flag. The goal could be to onboard people, improve engagement, or for new products reformulation of the mission towards niche, industry, but towards type of products, which is not yet specified.

Spot on. The other trouble in Platforms as products is the “product managers” for such highly technical PMing there isn’t enough talent that can both understand the technology as well as do product well.

Non-technical Product Managers are the worst. Glorified administrators ... Either be a subject matter expert or be a sales man. Everything else is just middleware!

I so wish she would have shared some more on the "newspapers" she reads as far as newsletters etc. Still thankful she shared some good reads and the overall convo centering on social impact and the making of a great product leader.

This is so good, I've always wondered how Twitch views content being hosted across platforms like KZbin, Tiktok etc. It seems they have a longer-term focus on the building of community. Also Vine is such a throwback, it makes sense how the lessons from there apply so well here!

Good video, but unfortunately, I don't know if it is helpful for me. I'm aware of my strengths and do use them. But in modern companies you're kind of expected to be an extravert and I always keep getting feedback to be more vocal to engage more with the peers, etc. And man this is hard for an introvert. No matter how hard I'll be using my strengths, it won't help me with my introversion and social anxiety. My strengths are all technical (like coding, etc), so how is that supposed to help me to be a better communicator? How do I feel less scared to talk or promote my ideas? How to build connections at work? My strengths are no help with any of this

I am so impressed with Instacart as a product. We have Swiggy and Zomato already doing quite a few things that Daniel mentioned. I was particularly fascinated by the metrics and the AI v3 of an agent who can place orders for the user.

somehow, i am not aligned with hardware thing. It might be JIO hypothesis that users cant afford smartphones, but even back in 2016-17, India had smartphone players who were offering good smartphones in less than 10 k. Plus, how many users bought JIO phones.... 1%? they were under assumption that they will the succeed with same game that Anil Ambani played in 2006-7.
