Exposing your child to animals helps children overcome their fears. So would you be opposed to taking a kid to the zoo? There are lots of things other than animals that children will experience in life that's scary.

Kids need to be taught that they are still wild animals and they need to be respected. Especially the predators. Theyre not toys. They also need to be taught that an animal looking at you isn’t something to scream about. Or a harmless bird landing on you. Etc… There is glass and yes gorillas could potentially break it but theyd have to use all their strength and it would risk injury to themselves so theyd need a very good reason. Theyre too smart for that.

Hint: Do not assume the elephant will accept you close to it. It may, but it may also end you, depending on how annoyed it is at that specific time. Also, you cant see if they are annoyed unless you have actual experience. Against an elephant, you will always loose unless VERY big gun.

Sorry.....no animal should be locked up in a zoo. That is not appropriate for the species and is torture. A child can learn that too and treat animals with respect. Animals are not there to entertain mankind...just sad 😢
