I would need a bit more info to be sure, but it is likely still a theoretical framework. If you are using the theory and the concept as they are (i.e., not changing them), then you are still using a theoretical framework. If you are adapting them to create a new framework for your specific study, then you are using a conceptual framework.

Usually, people specify their framework earlier in the thesis (usually as a separate chapter between lit review and methodology) and then in the discussion refer back to it. It is also possible to use a grounded theory approach where you have no framework and then create your framework based on your findings.

Hi. Yes, it is possible to combine two theories as a framework. If you are using both theories the way they are, it is still a theoretical framework. If you are taking some elements from one theory and some from another, you are creating a conceptual framework.

Either one would be suitable for decolonising research. The main thing would be to ensure that the theories/concepts you choose do not reinforce colonial thinking. For example, you may choose a theoretical framework that is based in a non-Western understanding of the world. Alternatively, you may choose to create a conceptual framework based on concepts from different theories to better reflect a non-colonial understanding of a concept or issue.

Regarding choosing a theoretical framework, you usually do this by exploring which other theories have been used in your field as well as based on your own view of the world.
