@@guenteroelfke3005 no 1 it's 600 euros. ( price before q3s launch) Vs 920 euros ( ps5 400 euros + 520 euros psvr2) There is definitely 400 euros worth of better performance there for the psvr2. If it's headset Vs headset for pcvr then the price evens itself out there but lossless data + no compression ( way less artifacting) far superior black levels and saturation, better colours , better binocular overlap and a much wider FOV has more pros then the quest 3 lenses with muted colours due to the pancake lens design and greyish Black's Yes the quest 3 is a brilliant piece of kit and a great vr headset overall but for horror games and games with high contrast colours then psvr2 blows the quest away . Quest 3 is my choice for games that have a lot of text to read and games which involve a lot of movement plus Batman!!! Half life alyx runs better on my mid tier gaming pc on the psvr2 than it does on my quest 3 plus the dark scenes are just phenomenal. Having said that at the end of the day it's down to personal preference, having a burger at mc Donald's maybe your thing. That's fine is quick , easy , tasty and very accessible. Thing is I prefer an artisan Angus burger , takes longer to get , a bit more expensive , may not be too everyones taste but that's my taste .

Lol, what a stupid comparison... Of course Red Matter 2 looks better than Batman. On Quest 3 alone Red Matter 2 is the most beautiful game. Why don't you compare this game on both platforms, you're afraid that PSVR2 will look worse due to worse lenses and lower display resolution? :P I'll write it again, this Quest 3 must be kicking your ass because you hate it so much and every time you try to prove that it's worse :D

I've got both headsets and I can tell you all first hand that the psvr2 is miles ahead graphically that the quest 3 ,I love my quest too though mainly as there's no lead ,and obviously the mixed reality, but the graphics on the psvr2 are so much better ,and the best test I would have done to show the comparison is gt7 ,that looks amazing and there's no racing game comes close anywhere near to that on the quest .......I'm not hating on any of them as I say I have both ,in fact I also have a 3s and that also looks amazing! But yeah psvr2 is by far a better (graphically) headset!

Never played either of these but Red Matter 2 looks better. However, I think the type of game also matters. Which one is more CPU intensive? Which one has more action, interactivity, complexity? I think Alyx looks better than both. I haven't done much yet in VR though. I have a PSVR2 and Quest 3. The black levels are better on the PSVR2 but motion clarity is better on the Q3 imo. I'll take motion clarity over black levels any day.

Not sure you can compare these two games, Red Matter 2 is pretty much a walkaround game with really good graphics. Batman looks to be a fast paced 'beatemup' and I think if it had the Red Matter 2 level of detail, it would have chugged. My favourite PSVR2 feature is the colours, hands down better than the Quest 3. But I have both and visually the Quest 3 is better in terms of lens display. But PSVR2 for colours.

@synth58154 күн бұрын
The 2 million PSVR2 number is also units "shipped" to retailers, as opposed to sold through to consumers. We had heard long prior to PSVR2's release that Sony ordered an initial production run of 2 million units, and that would also line up with later reports that they were ceasing production of more until retail moves the original allocation (also stated again to be 2 million units). And the 1 million figure for Quest 3 is not only outdated by months as you've already pointed out... but it was an estimate taken from the number of players on the leaderboard for the built-in "First Encounters" introduction mini game. There were over 1 million players as of June, but important to note that a user is not forced to set up an MR space or play First Encounters (and certainly not finish it and place a score onto the leaderboard) at any point during the setup of the headset. Of the 5 people (including myself) that I know of having Quest 3 headsets, I am the only one to have played First Encounters and registered a score on the leaderboard. It would be like taking the number of people who played through Astro's Playroom and deducing that as the total number of PlayStation 5's sold. Every explicit bit of sales information available makes it quite clear PSVR2 isn't selling more than Quest 3, let alone double, and that's before Quest 3S was even in the picture. Even when the PSVR2's price was slashed to $350 and the sales spiked, it still sat below Quest 3 at it's standard $550 price point on Amazon's charts and eventual monthly sales data. Currently in the Video Games category on Amazon US, Quest 3S is at #9, Quest 3 at #17, and PSVR2 at... #1426. So all around this video is just a huge pile of misinformation, because the owner of the channel read 2 million and PSVR2 together, and then googled the first number that came up for Quest 3 ignoring all context for either figure. It's honestly a shame platforms like KZbin are filled with so many heavily biased content creators who are too deeply in their side of the console (or headset) wars to do the slightest amount of due diligence before putting a video out.

What we do know is that Meta's VR subsidiary that makes the Quest headsets just had a quarterly loss of 4.4 billion

@@Svaberen well der they sell all the hmds at a loss abd spend on R&D it's in there game plan that they mentioned ages ago. what was it they said they plan to be in a loss every year for atleast the next 10 to 12 years. there thinking way into the future not just now ... will it work who knows I'll just be trying to use the best hmd available no matter who makes it
@synth5815Күн бұрын
@@Svaberen No it doesn't mean that at all, and this is kinda what I'm talking about when it comes to looking at things through a console war kind of perspective. Meta's Reality Labs burns through so much money, because they do an insane amount of R&D attempting to create their future Metaverse vision that's reliant on a whole host of technology that is effectively science fiction today. They recently demonstrated the Orion AR glasses for example, that are currently too technologically advanced to sell to the public at a reasonable cost. They have prototypes for headsets with screens of 10,000 nits brightness, ones with 200 degrees field view, ones with dynamic lens focus distances, and countless other examples of headsets that contain technology that's well beyond what is consumer viable today. The Quest headsets (and Meta Ray-Bans) are just what is ready to be sold today. It's not where the money is primarily being spent. Meta believes if they can be the first to create true mainstream VR/AR, then they can own the next computing paradigm, in the way Apple does for the current mobile phone era, and Microsoft did for the Desktop PC era. They (well Zuck mostly) are happy to burn tens of billions towards this goal, because they see the end result as being worth trillions. Now whether they'll actually be successful is up in the air. We won't know until the technology at the consumer level reaches the point where the average person is willing to use it in society much like we do with phones today... but if Quest was all Meta was focused on, then Reality Labs would have been a comparatively cheap endeavor, like Oculus was prior to Facebook acquiring them. But they're not trying to own the VR gaming sphere, because that's not worth much at all as it stands, which is also why Sony refuse to but much financial backing behind PSVR2 compared to PS5 in general. Sony doesn't have a grand long term VR/AR plan, and so they have much less incentive to bet big in the space. Meta do because to them the Quest line is less than 1% of what their overall goal for spatial computing is. If anything we in the VR space are lucky that Meta have such ridiculously lofty goals and deep pockets, because they are pretty much subsidizing an industry that currently isn't in a place where it can survive based on commercial viability alone. VR software development likely would have died out almost entirely after the initial round of Rift, Vive and PSVR headsets showed the market to be much smaller than was hyped, leading to all the major publishers losing interest. PSVR2 has over 200+ games available, largely because the standalone market made them viable to develop in the first place. PlayStation fans have benefitted massively from the Quest 2's success. So it's counter-productive for channels like this one to be constantly lashing out because they're bitter that the wider audience prefers a headset that's more versatile and offers more freedom of use, than one that simply pushes "best graphics" at the expense of requiring another $500 console purchase and being tethered by a cable.

Honestly, your videos display an astounding lack of self-awareness. You're complaining constantly about "PSVR2 Haters" and how VR as a niche shouldn't have people hating on a specific headset, yet when it comes to Quest 3 you are basically the biggest hater there is. Look at your own comments and replies on this very video itself, talking about "PS3 graphics" or co-signing any comment that talks negatively about Quest headsets. VR solidarity indeed... Most people are simply looking to have fun and experience something new and different when opting to play VR rather than a standard console/TV game. The most popular and enduring VR titles across all platforms are generally not even those with the most advanced graphics, because their focus is on providing an experience that's new and innovative, not just trying to create a VR equivalent of standard AAA gaming (which VR is a long, long way off from being able to meaningfully sustain). Perhaps you struggle with the idea that there's more to people's choices of platform than simply what has the best graphics, which quite frankly would be PC anyway and not PS5 outside a handful of exceptions. The popularity of the Switch must utterly confound you, let alone the Wii or how mobile gaming dwarfs all consoles and PC combined. About 1/3rd of your channel's content is either a direct raw comparison of graphics between a standalone mobile chip powered headset without further context asking "which is better graphics?" as though that's ever an actual argument, or a video complaining about people "being mean" to PSVR2 and why aren't they recommending it over Quest. Your channel is negativity distilled into its purest form, but you seem to lack the awareness of that. Contrast with a channel like Without Parole, where despite also being PSVR2 focused, and also having their own gripes with how the headset is received at large... they actually focus on just being positive about PSVR2 rather than lashing out at everyone else for not revering it, and looking to dump on other VR platforms and their audiences seemingly out of jealousy for their preferred headset not being given more spotlight. For a platform you constantly reiterate as having so many games to play, you could create so much content focused on showing these games off properly, or better tracking upcoming releases, etc. But instead you opt to simply complain about haters, and regurgitate "PSVR2 graphics good, Quest graphics bad" on a loop every 4 or so videos. Your channel comes across purely as one of a PSVR2 fanboy creating content purely for other fanboys. If that's all you ever want it to be, then as you were. Otherwise, maybe a bit of self-reflection is in order before your next "PSVR2 Haters, leave PSVR2 alone" video.
