2019 was a great one for me too. Not sure if it’ll be that good again. COVID and KZbin made it different.

It appears that the take home message from this is that we need to focus on our hunt and our road. The social media perspective and focus on “successful hunters” needs to stop. Doc has it figured out. Don’t toot your own horn and count kills. Drink up every one you get and enjoy your hunt. Let the social media legends be just that. This man has been sufficiently humbled by the bird, just like most of us that have some boot leather invested. You know when you arrive, because, at that point, you have a pang of remorse when you kill one. Not enough to make you quit, but it’s there. I sure hope the sport survives the resource being sold out for financial gain. In the Deep South, we are there. Wish I could ride in the truck with Doc for half a day.

Do goulds have thicker snoods than other sub species? Noticed this several times
@chasing494 ай бұрын
Hey Tucker. Good question. In our experience I would say maybe slightly thicker. They are generally larger turkeys than most other subspecies

Interesting. I wonder why they wanted the work around for the 30 day quarantine. Was it a lack of resources to do it that way?

In my opinion, Doc is the best turkey hunter alive and I'm proud to call him a friend. AND, I killed "his" turkey this spring. LOL Love ya Doc.
