i started on L/R doing quick button mashing and could get consistent 11.2-11.1 but i was able to quickly get this after switching to mouse and using the same wrist twitching motion for button mashing but on the mouse to lightly push it back and forth

i've never understood how some people have the skill to play games like this. are you able to sightread the notes or do you have to practice one chart multiple times?

you can remember what basic patterns will show up from playing a chart multiple times but for the most part it’s sightreading, just by playing a lot you’ll build the muscle memory for button layout and be able to execute based how the notes are placed takes a long time of being completely lost on low levels but whenever you feel yourself building the muscle memory and can read more and more notes on screen it’s a very fun genre
