@JMCgaragepak what do you mean by that. You can just put a Black square on a layer and lock it. The draw on the layer above it 😊

how do you know when the stroke and the center is the same size? Excellent tutorial, thank you!
@DiaGraphics8 күн бұрын
It doesn't need to be exact but I guess if you want You could create a circle with a specific diameter and then set the stroke to the same width as the diameter and then set the stroke to be on the outside in the stroke menu 😊
@DarthVader-gp6fm9 күн бұрын
Is there a way of using this to make a circle? Could anyone point me to a tutorial?
@DiaGraphics9 күн бұрын
You could simply turn it into a brush. But instead of round caps on the end you would need flat end 😊

EDIT: in the video i suggest a circle is 365 degrees. Thats a mistake. It is of course 360 degrees so that is the number you need to devide with the number of segments you want 😊
@hufter0120 күн бұрын
Since when is a circle 365°?

this method didn't work for me. it required for me to add "sides" to create corners
@DiaGraphicsАй бұрын
You should be able to make it without corner pieces. Which version og AI do you use?
@isabelpoon6485Ай бұрын
@@DiaGraphics yes maybe it is the version. it is 2024!
@DiaGraphicsАй бұрын
@isabelpoon6485 might be different in CC im not sure. Or you might be able to just put in straight pieces as corner pieces as well. Since rounded corners wont use corner pieces. Just avoid doing sharp corners on the path while using the brush 😊

the hexas are not snapping perfectly, the lines are overlapping though I turned on the smart guides.
@DiaGraphicsАй бұрын
Could be because you have align to pixel grid turned on. Try opening the tranform panel "Windows - tranform" and click the drop down in the top right side of the panel and unselect "align new objects to pixel grid" that might help. Thats an annoying feature to have on by default it often causes snapping issues 😊
@alejandrovictoria5233Ай бұрын
Did it on kirita, but the way you did the proportions was very helpful
