Hi, I've been working on a similar project but couldn't get the same result. What resin do you use and how do you make the ink sink? It always mostly stays on top of the mold for me, even if I create some space for it inside the resin. Thank you, your works inspired me to start working with epoxy and I've enjoyed it a lot. Really looking forward to new videos.
@ARTtherapyEpoxy16 күн бұрын
A lot depends on the resin and ink. You need to experiment and find an approach to your materials. Carry out a test on a small volume of resin, drop ink after 1 hour, 2, 4, 8. And all this in different forms. Then you will understand how your resin reacts with the ink. This is exactly how I tested.

There are 2 options: either fill it in layers. or secure what you are pouring on top.

What’s the material for the clouds?
@ARTtherapyEpoxyАй бұрын
This is a special material for simulating clouds. Sold on Aliexpress or Amazon.
@pauls5745Ай бұрын
Tried hot water, resin got thinner but still held air. I think I'll rig a pressure pot for small clear stuff, but I'm still trying different brands so it likely could be that. Sometimes there's less bubbles and a heat gun gets most, but still some left.
@ARTtherapyEpoxyАй бұрын
Yes, it all depends on the resin, the temperature in the room, the thoroughness of mixing, and the material you are pouring with resin. Heating the resin, a hair dryer, or a vacuum installation will help.

Is that a fresh flower? Won't it degrade over time? Normally, you have to dry them before putting them in resin, or they will rot.
@ARTtherapyEpoxyАй бұрын
Yes, this flower is fresh. Although I also worked with dried flowers. I'll see in a year whether it deteriorates in the middle or not.

Smart by gluing the sphere together. The first time I tried it, it stayed together just fine until I moved the sphere a tiny millimeter and resin began to flow out one side. I was mortified!! I quickly took the top off, salvaged what I could of the resin, and I still had a decent piece that turned out great, it was only a half of a sphere. 😂
@ARTtherapyEpoxy2 ай бұрын
Yes, it happened to me too. Therefore, I decided to glue it, since sometimes you need to move it to another place, or somehow interact with the upper part and the integrity is also broken.

Why do you pot those straw on top of the mold?
@ARTtherapyEpoxy2 ай бұрын
The resin loses a little in volume, about 10%, + reserve for leakage. That's why I make a straw for this.

Please don't add those moist sounds every time a title appears. It's like having someone smack their lips and flick their tongue right into your ear when you are just wanting to relax. It triggers misophonia. I was hoping it wouldn't keep happening but after several times in a row, with only a second in between, I stopped the video to mute. Other that that, I appreciate you show the ;olishing process.
