This idea is awesome! Here in New Zealand we have to have an artist model to relate to this.... Did you have any particular artist in mind when you created this learning plan ?

Do you ever have students who look through, re organize, or comment on other student work? I'm wondering how students accept feedback knowing others can see it. Any reluctance? Thanks!
@insideoutartteacher-artlessons
@insideoutartteacher-artlessons 8 ай бұрын
I mostly just leave positive comments on padlet. However, I will call a student up or speak to them privately if I have a concern. I love having the images organized by class and alphabetically at all times so I can skim quickly and see who needs help or feedback. Ill also leave comments right in our gradebook program so they can see them privately there.

Do the darker tones you used , blue & violet, apply to all colors as a general undertone to create the darker value?
@insideoutartteacher-artlessons
@insideoutartteacher-artlessons 11 ай бұрын
Yes, however adding a little of the color opposite the main color you are using will always tone down the intensity of a color and create shadow. So ie if you are darkening a light blue you may add a tiny bit of orange to the darkest tone. I would also layer darker blues and violets to darken the lighter blues.

I need to go back and do shading again with the high schoolers. They couldn’t see value differences between the very light and super dark. This would help with the light end!

Yes, I always have to point that out multiple times until XX for them. It takes a lot of practice they get caught up in the blending easily.
