Great video, it looks so realistic. Two questions, do all the engines pull and push? Why are there two engines up front and two in the rear and why are there four engines up front and none in the rear? I counted the cars, all three trains had over 30 cars in them, is that why there are four engines in each, which brings me back to my original question, are all the engines really pulling and pushing. Well, that was more than two questions. Great video, thanks for sharing. Lastly, I noticed that your videos are quite a few years old, so you may not answer my questions. Thanks again.

Thanks. All engines push and pull, they are consisted together in the DCC system. I run the trains as in the real world, that's why you see front and rear engines on heavy trains as coal, rock, grain and oil. Intermodal trains with containers can have all engines in the front or spread out in the middle and rear. Intermodal trains with trailers usually have engines only in the front due to the lighter cars behind them. Also, on most trains at least 3 engines are needed to get the train up the 1,5% grade on the ramps coming up from the staging yard. You can see all the trains on the layout in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5TRfq1_rNl4Zpo

Had to laugh at the auto speed limit posted in one scene as 75 mph on a 2 lane road.
@summitmodeltrainvideos4440Ай бұрын
That's no joke, this is Texas and the actual speed limit
@jimh7557Ай бұрын
@ I live in Texas too. I know 75 mph is only on some freeways or very rural highways. I did appreciate the humor of showing it posted.

I want to know where to get those crossings gates from I love them
@summitmodeltrainvideos44405 ай бұрын
They are Tomar Industries H-863. It is a complete kit with 2 signals, the gate motor and all the mechanics to make them work. Fairly easy to install if you follow the manual. You will need a crossing controller as well, I use Grade Crossing Pro from Logic Rail Technologies. Easy to install and works all the time.
