Just because a computer booted faster doesn’t mean it has better performance. Booting as a processor can be machine specific and also on the software’s installed.

About the custom case that I’ve got for this, I’ve got it on eBay for only $10. I’ve put it on to replace the original green case it came with and it’s been doing pretty well for me.

Growing up (2008), I had an Acer Aspire 5735z. My cousin had an HP simillar to those just a bit newer. His laptop was better in almost every way, except the CPU. Playing flight sim was signifigantly better on my laptop even though his cost twice as much.

TBF I got these computers from eBay about two or three years ago when I had the money at the time and I was lucky enough to find available listings on them at the time so I’m grateful for that. Back to your question, if you’re looking for a computer like my two Presario 7000 computers, then I would say that the closest to those would be the Presario 5000 series, since they’re similar yet different from the 7000 series and they were more common than the 7000 series models at the time when they were new. Listings for the 5000 series models are available on eBay for you to check out. They’re even upgradable BTW, so you aren’t limited to the lower-end specs of these stock machines.

Why thanks for asking! My Intel Compaq, which I nicknamed it as, is a year 2000 Compaq Presario 7000 series computer with an Intel Pentium III processor at 933 MHz and an Nvidia GeForce4 MX440 graphics card. It’s running on two hard drives too. The monitor I’m using is a Compaq MV740 monitor from 2001, similar to my childhood Compaq’s CV735 monitor but with additional features such as a built-in microphone. That monitor also has side-mounted JBL Platinum speakers with purplish-gray speaker grills, which I gotta say, looks pretty nice on this monitor. I’ve also got a Logitech QuickCam webcam on top of the monitor as seen in promotional and marketing materials for the Presario 5000/7000 series back in the early 2000s.

I’ve done something like that for the graphics drivers, the rest of the drivers I’ve installed via Snappy Driver Installer, which the latter did the job for me
