I still haven't played 1-3. I was eight years old when 4 was released and that playthrough was a life changing experience. It was a game that would blow my little mind and make me an Ace Combat fan forever. I would get 5 and Zero and have a similar experience. Now I'm 30 years old, work in aviation, live alone, pay bills, struggle with deciding to cook something healthy or just guet takeout lol. Like you, I only just got around to playing 7 this week and I have to say, it was fantastic. I loved the story, the atmosphere, the new mechanics, everthing an Ace Combat fan could ever want. In those eightish hours I played I got to be a kid again and reflect to a simplier time and have my mind blown once more.

I've heard over the years the movement was much like zone of the enders which is an all time favorite. I never knew it had other series suits in vs. though.

Despite all the DBZ games that have come out over the years, BT1 has the most badass and authentic Intro of all of DBZ games of the Franchise. BT2 and BT3 in my opinion still remains the most Unique and the best DBZ games in terms of content, quality and fanservices. And from the gameplay perspective aspects, these DBZ games that I mentioned are very close to the anime itself because of the Vibe and Charm, I don't know how to describe it but it was, and still is the most Unique DBZ experience you could have with the combat factor. (- Sheer amount de of characters - Transformations mid-battle (powering up and down) - Fusions mid-battle - Fast gameplay that has that "woah" feel - Tons of extra content - Story mode covering all sagas + movies - What If sagas - Shenron having permanent impact on game (character unlocks and whatnot) - Great tournaments that rotate availability - Edit characters with items (buffs) - 5v5 battles - Really Great and Epic Soundtracks - Destroyable environments - Entire stages could be blown up into their "destroyed" alternatives - Mission 100 being a great challenge - Artwork is 10/10 - Sound effects are great - Combat feels heavy and satisfying) Only Budokai 3, Infinite World and the Raging Blast 1 and 2 and all of PSP DBZ games except of Dragon Ball Z Evolution are still considered also very solid DBZ games, also the hidden gem that a lot of DBZ fans missed from PS2 Era of DBZ games is "Super Dragon Ball Z" which is also a real Unique and DBZ game, especially for the different gameplay aspects perspective.☯️🤷🏻‍♂️✌️

This is what Code Fairy lacked. The dread and grittiness along with how ANYONE can perish in Gundam. I mean for god's sake an all female cast that survives because plot armor and fan service is what turned me off.

would be funny if you get as an oponent in A class some sort of Saitama mech, 1000x stronger than S ranks, that would be impossible and one-shot you xD

armored core and baldurs gate is my childhood so 2023 was like dream in this regard

Character models aren't as important as the rest of the effects, so I prefer RB2 graphics, gameplay, and roster

Man I still regret never getting this game as a kid but I did get the second game from renting it and I had a blast with it and I much preferred that game story mode to 3's. However this is still a definite S tier game and if Sparking 0 is able to keep that exact same good energy that this game had then I think we're in good hands even if this is gonna be just another anime arena fighter yet again. Don't get me wrong despite not having A PS5, I'm still excited to see this game coming out but we've had so many arena fighters that are all anime that I'm kind of burnt out from the IP. Still glad to see this coming out honestly!

Such a great game, I love that GT was included, after this game I honestly haven't been interested in playing any other DBZ game besides Figtherz

I feel like the situation is different from Dragon Ball in that the Gundam Vs series never stopped, and unlike Tenkaichi got a lot more in depth with it's mechanics to the point where later games MBON and X Boost have dedicated competitive scenes. MBON has even had side tournaments at EVO and other major fighting game events, even though arena fighters normally aren't viewed as deep or competitive games. MBON is the series favorite and likely has more waaaay fans the Gundam Vs Zeta Gunddam because of how big and dedicated the competitive scene is and how it was and still is the only easily accessible game in the series atm in the West. But I definitely think you're onto something in that Gundam Vs Zeta Gundam provides something later games don't. Later VS games like MBON and XBoost games focus on more widely covering various Gundam shows,with very limited representatives for each show. But because of that what if format for the single player mode and the more focused roster, it's still a treat for UC nerds. It's definitely why I occasionally find myself returning to it after all these years even if I could be playing XBoost instead.

This game is so peak and full of game dev sweat, blood and tears😫 It's like they captured the essence of Toriyama and trapped in a ps2 disc 😢 oh yea I traded a quarter of my ps2 collection to get this game back in 2016. Now you need to trade at least half 😮

Tactics Battle is where I really got into sniping, especially thanks to the GM Sniper 2 WD. On the Forest Base level I would stand on top of one of the hangers and I would use the fidgety right stick to free aim. Then when I got the enemy in sight from very far away, I would hold for a power shot and bam. I once completed the mission without the enemy ever getting close to the base and me not taking any damage. Made me love the GM Sniper 2 and the White Dingos so much. The best units to use were actually the Guncannon and the Guntank. As if you manually aimed you could control their power shots or the aux weapon. Which usually was their shoulder cannons that did a ton of damage as well as stun. They could even shot from across the level. They were very OP when used correctly.

Out of the trilogy, Zero is the best. It really nailed what they learned from 4 and 5 and a proper swan song for the PS2 era games. The music is top notch, so much so I imported the album from Japan. The story was more meaningful to me than 5.

I think I remember this channel you did the dynasty warriors gundam series right?! those games are surprisingly my childhood despite it being gundam of all things. these videos are getting so much better, keep it up! I can't wait to see the Raging blast 2 review (if you ever play it) as its another one of my childhood favorites.

4:10 Raging Blast looks more like the 90s anime than both of those games therefore yes, I 100% believe it is better. No games look better than Raging Blast 1 except the budokai tenkaichi games

Raging Blast 1 looks better than 2, and WAAY Better than Sparking Zero. And then we gotta put the Budokai Tenkaichi games before we do either of those games. Truly disappointing

This era was the peak of Gundam games. I know the versus and breaker games are popular still today. But they're way too arcadey for my tastes. This versus game is arcadey, but still manages to preserve the feel of Gundam. And really understands the history as evident by the ability to play alternate timelines with characters who originally died. I just wish they hadn't shutdown the studio that worked on Zeonic Front. It was the last 'thinking' Gundam game. Where tactics actually mattered. Combine Zeonic Front's tactics system with a good combat system. And we'd have some amazing Gundam.

Played this game sooooo much back in the day. I loved it. Even got my brother into it, who isn't a Gundam fan. Never got to a chance to buy Gundam Vs. Zeta Gundam, which I always regretted.

Hearing that opening theme threw me back to mi childhood I orbit it existed as well as the rest of sound track and the story my god I love rewatching the cut scenes

I like budokai 2 more than 3 simply becuz i hate the dragon rush mode in 3 and i also love the models and colors on 2 more

I’m a raging blast 2 guy

This is a horrible take for me, but I appreciate it. There’s nothing good about this games artstyle, they look clunky and lack fluidity and look like they’re made of out of clay dough. The physics and weight on the attacks and beams is all wrong. I would go further and say that all these things were right on Tenkaichi 3 but they changed for the sake of shaking things up, and it’s DBZ games been lacking since then. Only now we getting back to the BT3 formula and fix these issues

RB looks probably better than RB2 but the ultimates of RB2 are some of best ever seen. The gameplay as well was very deep in RB2, I always wanted a trilogy of that series. Hoping Sparkling Zero will follow up from it
