Not many places where you can ride behind what looks to be the most accurate recreation of a long distance passenger train over original track from the days of steam. Pichi Richi have much to be proud of for this alone and it's on my bucket list for a reason!

Fabulous video of all those fantastic steam locomotives did you know here in WA Hotham valley railway who also run a W class steam locomotive are having their 50th anniversary as well this year!

Thank you Kane, great work. I've travelled on this steam train back last year. We took to train from Port to Quorn, had lunch at the pub then made our way back to Port Augusta on the train. Worth while doing this trip. My hats off to all of the volunteers. Congratulations to Pichi Richi on 50 years. Thank you Kane, keep up the great work

Funny thing. My Mother just entered the kitchen (7.30am) and said "Did you know there is a train thing going on at the Pichi Richi this weekend?" I pointed to my TV "Yeah, I'm watching it now." Kane is on da ball with the latest.😎

A word of advice to those who would like to visit the museum. If you''re not careful when you enter St. Kilda into your sat nav, you may end up over 700km away in the wrong direction.😳😵‍💫😵 Even so, you'll still see a lot of trams.😁
