Hello Ron, in terms of the jerkbait - I found out by watching YT back in 2020 because I was strictly a TW guy for stripers before that - I saw on YT people were throwing the Duo in the aqueduct so I bought a few and never looked back. The Duo has caught stripers at LV/DV/Hogan/SFbay/Delta and the Sac river. I am always watching seeing what others are using, I don’t always test because that can be expensive LOL. I did try that spunk shad this year - I got that from Tacticalbassin. Thanks for stopping by👊🎣👍

Hello Ron, I am using the Duo Realis 130sp Jerkbait Bone Color, but I have caught fish on all different sizes 100sp/110sp/120sp, Neo Pearl is my favorite color. I have been successful with the Duo but I have tried Lucky Craft and Jackall and they catch fish. It is always good to bring out other jerkbaits to try out just in case your favorite is not working👍🎣👊

Maybe with this little warming trend the baitfish will get active and so will the fish - everyday is hit or miss👊🎣👍

I am still hiking in to find the fish but they just lowered the water way down so not sure the fish have adjusted - they did plant 1000lbs of trout this week - that might get the stripers more active👊🎣👍

@ That was down the trail - the water was higher than - if you get there early stripers might be feeding near the marina if not you should make your way to hetch hetchy - always keep an eye on the water for fish activity - plus trout might be near the shoreline early morning before the sun hits the water - good luck👊🎣👍

I was thinking of trying it on one of my trout setups - just need to practice braid to leader knot - will see- trout season just around the corner 👍👊🎣

@ 1) assuming u go with utltraligjt, 6-8lb 8 strand and 5-7 gram lures depending on ur rod, you wont believe casting distance versus mono….my favorite braid brand is JBraid Grand 8 Strand made by shimano. Runs about $30 a spool but lasts years 2). Braid has no stretch like mono. If u like walking the dog, braid is made for this. 3). Sensitivity and visibility, you will feel and see strikes way quicker than with mono ….setting hooks is night and day Good luck bud ur vids are cool
