What is the size of the return lines?.....i like the two bucket system but I'd like to space them farther apart in my tent....i know i can get the parts from your website but don't know which ones.... also i need to know what the size tubing is for the Venturas because I'll have to put length between the T section.

How can you drain water from this bucket
@HydraUnlimited
@HydraUnlimited Ай бұрын
Turn off the pump, disconnect the circulator - and then you'll use the main line to be able to just "pump" the water out. The center drain will help everything down so you're freely able to pump "out" basically. A 5 gallon bucket next to everything works great. DM us on IG, FB, or email us at [email protected] for further Q's, thanks!

Do i need a water chiller? Do i need a holding tank outside my tent? How often do i need to change water? Im new sorry!
@HydraUnlimited
@HydraUnlimited Ай бұрын
Only you can answer that. Do you intend to maximize your water health by keeping your roots in an optimal water temp? Water changes depend on your plant health. If you are not using a chiller you want to change every 7-10 days. If you're serious about growing and looking to maximize plant production, we'd recommend our professional series which is 'water chiller ready.'

It's not overbuilt, it's called quality engineering and materials on top of well researched and applied grow science backed by decades of cultivation experience. Can you put 2 bucket system hooked up with another 2 bucket system to make it a full system? Hook up instead of spending $1400 on a 4 bucket system which doesn't make sense. Anyways, can you keep hooking up buckets?Or is there a way to connect them if you have this model
@HydraUnlimited
@HydraUnlimited 3 ай бұрын
The 1 & 2 buckets were created as stand alone systems and are full systems in and of themselves, we designed them to be minimal setups. They can't be hooked up to each other as the plumbing and pump would not work, however, we will be releasing a 4-bucket home system in the near future that is more streamlined than the pro. Now, our professional and commercial systems ARE built to be scalable, as you're suggesting, as long as your plumbing can handle the amount of buckets you are adding onto. So if you're thinking about building out rooms and adding on in the future - you'll want to invest in the professional system. Once you get to 8 bucket or longer runs, you need to also upgrade portions of the plumbing to properly account for the increased water recirculation needs. This is to maintain proper water levels, and recirculation values to keep the grow optimized. Email [email protected] for more info, happy to help out!

Would i be required to use a chiller?
@HydraUnlimited
@HydraUnlimited 4 ай бұрын
No, you're not required to use additional equipment. However, depending on what your grow needs are - a lot of our growers are going that route to maintain more even plant temps for their needs. We recommend our professional units if that is the case, as those are chiller-ready and geared towards more serious growers. If you're really set on making this chiller ready, be sure to reach out to [email protected] for an unofficial DIY guide.

@HydraUnlimited
@HydraUnlimited 5 ай бұрын
Hi Dave, thanks for your comment. While this could have been explained better in the video (this was at product launch nearly 4 years ago), the purpose of the claim is that the Venturi technology delivers both oxygen and nutrients equally to each plant reliably throughout the entire grow cycle which in turn, achieves immediate and sustainable homogenization. The end result means the roots inherently do not have to search at the frequency they would in a traditional RDWC system. We’re happy to provide some COA’s of a recent commercial growers harvest and please feel free to reach out to us directly at [email protected]. Thanks again!

When adding nurtrients whats the best way to do it with the 2 Buckets? Individually? Or
@HydraUnlimited
@HydraUnlimited 7 ай бұрын
It can help to dilute the solution with RO water and split it 50/50 between the buckets, but not 100% necessary to do this. You can get away with pouring your nutrients into one bucket - it equalizes very quickly!

How often do add it to the res if I clean res only every 2-3 weeks?
@HydraUnlimited
@HydraUnlimited 7 ай бұрын
If you are using a reservoir it's advisable to first understand the sodium hypochlorite concentrate you are using, if it is .028% anywhere from 1-4 ml per gallon per week while if you use a generator .5-1ml per gallon per week. If you have an RO system with the included float valve, we recommend .6-1ml per gallon per week. We always advise on the lower side as it's easy to over do it in water.
@johnogrady559

How do you clean this with a trellis on it or the buckets stay clean 👀 cause hydroponic plants grow really heavy mid flower and to clean 20 buckets with a trellis look hard idk
@HydraUnlimited
@HydraUnlimited 5 ай бұрын
Using a little bit of hypochlorous acid throughout the grow will keep the roots healthy and the buckets clean. We’ve got some recent COAs of flower grown in our system with drip hydro hitting above 25% and with 3%+ terps.

So for this 2 bucket system how do the buckets get disconnected to be cleaned 1 month into the grow cycle. The larger systems you just pick the buckets up from what i seen
@HydraUnlimited
@HydraUnlimited 8 ай бұрын
If there isn't a chiller connected to the system, we recommend changing out the water every 3-7 days. If you have a chiller integrated into the system, then you can just give it a full cleanse in between each grow.
@BimmerBoy
@BimmerBoy 7 ай бұрын
Can you elaborate on the chiller part? Why does a chiller help not changing the water so often? It would be nice if you put that in the information before I bought it
@HydraUnlimited
@HydraUnlimited 7 ай бұрын
A chiller's function is to stabilize water temperature fluctuations, the average temperature in an optimal setting is 68-72 degrees. Water health is dependent on a balance of good and bad bacteria, a chiller simply assists the temperature to maintain consistency.

Hi looks great but my biggest concern is how you exchange water without lifting plant ? I can see you have a drain in the bottom of the bucket but still you can't put anything there because is no space under that drain. Also is any lock in that drain ? I'm DWC user and this is always issue when the plant is flowering stage.
@HydraUnlimited
@HydraUnlimited Жыл бұрын
Hello! There are a couple options we recommend. You can simply unplug the pump, squeeze the spring clamp, pulling it down the tubing on the circulator. Then proceed to remove the tube from the circulator. Point it into a 5gal bucket and plug the pump back in. Turning the pump off and gravity draining the rest of the way when the water level becomes low enough. This is a fast and easy process. Alternatively, a wet vac does wonders in RDWC if you can avoid the roots. We hope this helps!

When are we getting the video which explains how this system works. We hear that this system uses less water, that we won't ever need to worry about air stones, etc, and that is great. But how does it work ? What does this single pump do ? What is the direction of water movement ? Why ? What's the DO levels in the system ?
@HydraUnlimited
@HydraUnlimited Жыл бұрын
In a nutshell, the HydraMax system utilizes a single pump that effectively manages water movement within the system. The pump pulls water from the bottom port in the bucket and pushes it back through the HydraMax aerator. When the water goes through the aerator its patented design pulls in oxygen before flushing back into the remaining water within the bucket maintaining optimal dissolved oxygen (DO) levels - about a 50/50 ratio. We appreciate your curiosity and patience, a forthcoming video should answer all your questions about the HydraMax system's functionality. Stay tuned for updates, and please don't hesitate to reach out to our team if you have any further questions.
