I’ve never heard this song played better, either by Johnny Marr or Morrissey. They both played it at every gig of theirs I’ve ever been to without fail so I’d guess I’ve seen approximately 35 performances of it over the years. Minimum. A combination of the sound quality, superb venue, amazing atmosphere and 🇮🇹 ITALY 🇮🇹 make this particular version untouchable for me. So glad I filmed it even though it’s not the best picture or audio. I’d kill to have a copy off the sound desk, it’d make a great limited edition four track 12” for RSD. One song from Milan the night before supporting The National. This from COVO in Bologna. Another from the following nights concert in Ancona and the fourth track could be something unreleased from the vaults or a remix maybe? Principiante Psychico. Johnny Marr Live in Italy. It's good to know that you remember seeing The Stones this year! Amazing powers or recollection! Now, was that The Rolling Stones or The Stone Roses?! Or is it all a blur?

I can never understand why anyone would pay good money to see a group and then talk over them. None of the acts deserve that, and certainly Sinead O'connor doesn't.

Thanks for creating this record of a fantastic gig (just part of a superb day). For anyone who wasn't there though, the sound on this recording doesn't do her justice. I was worried that the whole day would be cancelled based on the weather reports (which could have been a disaster for future of the festival) but luck was on our side. Ramsbottom can be justly proud to host this most special of events. Here's to many more years to come.
