0:59 Funnily enough, I was actually arguing in favor of Superman at the time. While I almost instinctively loved Goku more, he just didn't have as many visually impressive feats as Supes did, and his bag just came off as shallower in comparison. Of course, when the results dropped, I wasn't happy, but I wasn't surprised either, though some of the analysis rubbed me the wrong way.

@@BuckingBeasts nah I was like 9 on my moms phone looking up dbz budokai tenkaichi 4 vids. I know for sure they were mods cuz they were always in Spanish or japanese audio and they had ssj5 as a possible transformation for goku, vegeta, gohan and trunks

@charliewrightm I’m honestly skeptical about your memory of that because mods like SSJ5 Goku, Vegeta, etc. kinda came much later for BT3. I remember there were loads of those for Budokai 3/Infinite World

Bro, crazy how I missed all of this up until the Blue Kaioken episode of Super because I was so out of the loop due to school (and depression Bleach binges) at the time. I didn't know about the movies, I barely knew about Battle of Z, Heck I thought Beerus was a game exclusive character but didn't have any money to buy BoZ so I never found out that deal. Literally missed out on all of this for so long except Heroes, the SSJ Bardock thing and Yo! Son Goku and his Friends!

I remember going to a mall and there was that had bootleg dvds of Battle of Gods (and other japanese films) a year after it came out. It still had the fake golden ssj4 version of Super Saiyan God on the cover haha. The rollout for Battle of Gods is special to me. I was very young but Dragon Ball still meant a lot to me. I was watching UnrealEntGaming’s news updates about the movie everyday. Good times man.

I remember I was six or seven when BOG came out, and I loved it. I always thought after the movie though that after Goku lost ssjg the first time, he started fighting Beerus with Super Saiyan 10 which is why he was doing so well. (it was just Super Saiyan)

Bro keep up the good work man these videos are awesome it's like going in time machine I remember the days before Battle of gods. I remember playing very shitty flash DBZ games when I was a kid lol. When super Saiyan four was going to be the max power Goku had. And then all of the fan images of super Saiyan 5 and so forth.

I think 2011 was when I started getting into Dragon Ball cause of AMVs so being a fan in 2013 was so hype especially with Battle of Gods coming out.

Ngl, when the v-jump leaks showed the SSG transformation, I lokey thought it was fake. I was in Mexico at the time and I saw a whole bunch of fake posters and disks showing the golden ssj4 goku fighting beerus and I immediately thought “I KNEW IT, HE IS GOLDEN!”

this was the year i first discovered dragon ball when i was 5, mainly from dragon ball z kai being aired in the UK during this year. Then my Uncle came to my house with a dragon ball z: battle of gods dvd and we watched it together, and from then on. I was a dragon ball fan.

I brought battle of Z as a kid second hand and was pissed I could't get the Naruto skin for Goku becuase the code was already used. Kid me didn't grasp the concept of used Discs.
