Thank you for the informative video. It would be nice if you could have another episode talking about the LLC (BV) structure more in detail, plus maybe a list of pros and cons :)

I am currently havin offer for Netherlands but I am not eligible for 30% ruling this yer due to my age is 29 years and I don't have masters degree. So can I apply for 30% ruling after 1 year once I complete 30 years age? For remaining 4 years period.
@MovetoNL
@MovetoNL 7 күн бұрын
The application for the 30% ruling needs to happen within the first 4 months from your start date. So you cannot apply for it after you've already been in the Netherlands and working for a year, I'm afraid! Your age doesn't matter for the 30% ruling application - it just affects the salary requirement. So if your salary is over the requested limit, you can still apply. Your employer's HR department should be aware of this. If they're not, you can always send them our way, as we also assist companies with these matters 🙂

Are the 2nd & 3rd buckets still set aside? I’d love to live in the Netherlands & _contribute_ to what I see as a sane, reasonable & responsible culture. Frankly, I don’t need a 30% write-off to do that, but I _would_ need for y’all to keep your mitts out of my Roth account. As it stands, & if I’m not mistaken about how the Dutch handle assets like an American’s tax advantaged retirement money, I’ll be retiring in France & (or) Spain instead. … & spending off all that retirement money _there._

The government is (once again) discussing these changes, so we'll know more after September 17th! When it comes to your savings/retirement accounts from abroad, it's probably wise to talk to a tax/pension advisor who specializes in US citizens living abroad 🙂 For example, BNC tax is great at what they do! www.bnctax.com/

Thanks for the detailed video. Was quite useful. Might be useful to also mention that when you do NT-2 B1/B2, you can be exempt from some of the other integration exams like KNM. Found this on an exemption criteria form on IND.

Is it also the same for refugees who get the 5 years permit ? What should be done during the 5 year to get the citizenship?
@MovetoNL
@MovetoNL 2 ай бұрын
@@manalkhater3771 Having an asylum permanent residence permit is one of the requirements to apply for naturalization in this case. Other requirements (like the inburgering exams) will depend on when you've arrived to the Netherlands. So the requirements will also depend on each person's specific situation.

Thank you! It's very useful! I have one question: does who apply for verification against eu law visa has to do the civic exam? or it's just for those who apply for partner visa? Thank you again! :)

You're most welcome! Yes, you're right - the Civic Integration Exam abroad is for the partner visa. It's not a requirement when applying for verification against EU law.

@@MovetoNL Thank you! I have another question: Can I renew the verification against Eu law after 5 years? In regards of the founds proof: is it enough the working contract and founds in the banking account or do I necessarily have worked the previews year to prove it? Thank you very much!
@MovetoNL
@MovetoNL 2 ай бұрын
@@imanbamous8021 After 5 years, you can also be eligible for a permanent residency or Dutch citizenship, so there are options 😃 For this type of visa, the EU citizen needs to have an employment contract for a specific number of hours. But we can't advise on what's enough in terms of a proof of income without looking at your full situation.

Say you’re in the Netherlands on a tourist visa, while waiting for your partnership visa to be processed, and you start applying for jobs, can you still be considered for the 30% ruling that way? Just wondering because I noticed that a lot of jobs listings, at least in my industry, want to hire someone local to Amsterdam or within the Netherlands. I just think it would help my chances of success if I’m already in the Netherlands applying to jobs before getting the Visa.

Can I apply with partnership visa since I am married to Dutch and we already applied for the partner visa but at the same time apply for a job in the Netherlands while still not yet in Europe so I still qualify as a highly skilled migrant and its benefits? Since in partnership visa I have to get a new driver’s license and pay full tax.
@MovetoNL
@MovetoNL 6 ай бұрын
Great question! If you'll already have the right to stay here on the partner visa, then there's no need to apply for the Highly Skilled Migrant visa (you should apply for just one at a time with these) But, if you get a job before you arrive to the Netherlands - then you might be eligible for the 30% ruling, which would help with both the tax and exchanging your driving licence :) You can check out our video or blog post called "Everything you need to know about the 30% ruling" for more details on the eligibility criteria!

@@citlalialvarezcadena4157So sorry to hear about your experience so far! When it comes to an MVV - this is just a document that allows you to enter the Netherlands (it's also called "authorization for temporary stay"), so it's not a residency/work permit in its own. When it comes to your job search, this depends on quite a few factors - like your industry, level of experience, the way you're applying... We don't specialize in the job search process, but we might be able to recommend a job coach depending on your specific situation. If you'd like that, you can email us with more information on what you're looking for.

Thank you for the brilliant submission. I want to ask in applying for the 30% ruling should my residence address on my employment contract be an address in the Netherlands or it should be my address from my home country?
@MovetoNL
@MovetoNL 8 ай бұрын
Great question! If you sign the employment contract before moving to the Netherlands, then the address from your home country can and should be mentioned. This is another way of proving that you were hired from abroad. But if you only received the job offer before moving to the Netherlands, and the contract was signed after you've already found accomodations - then it would have your Dutch address instead. In either case, your employer would need to have your Dutch address.
