for me, so far, it speeds up the easy stuff, writes some sneaky bugs, it can speed up finding obscure documentation and can overcomplicate intermediate to advanced things esp if you're moving too fast and this system ends up not working with that system, and often I forget to use it at all

I try not to use too much AI, because when I write the code myself it's MINE code, while when I paste code from ChatGPT, that code is NOT what I made, but what someone/something has made for me, so I am not going to sign it as my code, while also don't giving credit to the real author. It doesn't feel right. I understand that it's quite similar to copying from Stack Overflow and I think copying from there is not good either, it should be treated more like a learning resource, a thing that inspires/gives you an idea/helps you to write your own thing. Please don't just mindlessly copy code, especially if you don't know what it's doing.
