I have a g-shock that is 54 mm, and I have a Seiko that is 36 mm, strangely, both sizes work out on my 7.25”wrist.

Samco also makes barton straps and a few other ones. How many factories do you think are around that make these.

Thanks for the video, Mike. I checked out the website for dufrane and that purple dial watch is really cool. The Hamilton field watch is a good one, the Hamilton Khaki mechanical field watch is my daily wearer and I really like it. It only has 5 bar water resistance, which is the only thing I don’t like. I wish it was 10 bar (like the automatic that you are considering) and I wish it had a screw down crown so that I never had to worry about it getting wet. That thought is always in the back of my mind when I’m doing dishes or something. Do you consider water resistance when purchasing a watch?

I'm new to watches, and after checking out different brand names, I am not that impressed with the luxury swiss watches. The two brands that stood out for me and found to be great looking are Grand Seikos and the Bulova Precisionists. I buy to wear not collect. I plan to have 5 watches. Four Bulovas and will save up for 1 Grand Seiko 😊

Hey mate. I’d recommend getting this thing serviced professionally by a vintage seiko expert. It’ll last a lifetime if you get the movement seen to. I have the exact same watch and after getting it serviced it now runs like new. Keeps wayyyyy better timing than my Rolex

I have one if these but with the red in the bezel insert.... Bought it used on eBay, $241 shipped. It had a Seiko leather strap that was a bit torn up so I plan to make my pwn version using the same hardware - It's currently on one of my horsehide zulu straps. I love this Samurai
