I have to say I learned to have less pejudices. Or at least to try and not immediately put people in boxes. There‘s a as many different personalities and people in Taize as on the streets in my town, but I did look at them differently than at home because with having made the choice to go to Taize we immediately had something in common.

Can someone tell me whether with this app I can turn it on and put in my butt pack while I'm riding my bicycle and listen to lesson after lesson as I would song after song on iTunes without having to stop to pull my iPhone out and click on next lesson...just continuous play?
@ChrisiElliot5 жыл бұрын
Someone correct me if I‘m wrong but I think all the lessons require active learning, thus really typing, speaking, listening, reading mixed. Back when I made this video there was no ‚only listen‘ lesson.

Hi, as I also commented at your last Video, I am currently at my abroad semester and I can tell you, keep going this way! ;) I've also experienced some frustration during organizing it, since I firstly thought of going to Iceland, which wasn't possible, because they had only two places, which where already taken back then. Then I wanted to go to Sweden, searched for a nice University till I found out, they also have some restrictions regarding the semesters you needed to have already done... So you can imagine, also quite hard to swallow, as u currently exactly know the feeling of falling in love of the idea to study at a specific city. But then after talking to the international office, they showed me that Finland, Vaasa would be a good option too and so you see I'm currently writing this lines from Vaasa, Finland ^^ And I am also very glad to be here! So as u already know, you wanna do an abroad, so there's no question if you'll do it but just where you'll do it ;) And last thing I can tell you, since I had a similar experience. Don't focus to much on the exact location/city, I know you have your cool imagination of your ideal target, as I did, but at the end if you're in the culture/region or country where you originally wanted to go, you'll probably still be very happy about your choice! And as you know, going abroad is also for challenging yourself, getting even more open minded and learn to handle even more unpredicted/unexpected and new situation. So looking back at the organization phase after some time, I found that this is actually already part of the learning process, part of the abroad semester... since you're already trying to solve unexpected obstacles you didn't thought off at all ;D Best regards, Armin

I was secretly wondering whether I would find a comment of you again. Happy to see you here. 😊 It's good to see I'm not the only person struggeling with finding a place which is meeting my wishes and expectations. And I hope I will be looking back at this organization phase next year, when I'm in Spain, seeing that in the end it is alright. A couple of times in the past years things didn't work out for whatever reason, but looking back I can see it has all been as it should be. So thanks a lot for your motivating comment. Best regards to Finland from Germany! Chrisi
