Thank you for posting. The videos of this show have good video quality, but the audio is not that great, and it's in mono. I'm always on the lookout for a better copy. Also, would you please post the audio for "Dylan's Christmas Present" that I see written on your reel to reel tape package?

Great video; there is a quote somewhere that I cant find (which is helpful) where Mick Jagger states that 300,000 people were having a good time and only a few were causing trouble. Also I think there exists a bootleg of the concert. i think the photo you have there is the stones in the studio with producer Jimmy Miller, rather than the stones watching Altamont footage(?)

I saw the Stones at MSG on November 28, 1969, and that was a highlight of my life! The Altamont disaster was such a bringdown from that high.

BIG fan of the Brinsley Schwarz/Rumour/Dave Edmunds/Ducks Deluxe amalgamation! Shame on you for not tracking down the subsequent Brinsley albums! Silver Pistol, Nervous On The Road, Please Don't Ever Change and New Favourites rock like nobody's business! Agree that the first 4 Graham Parker albums are excellent, but after that, not so much. And I agree, "Heat Treatment" is his best.

hello bernie.. I was wondering if you can help me with something oddly specific I'm looking for a footage that I saw in a documentary once about motown, or berry gordy or the black godfather of music or something like that it was a black and white footage of a few motown singers, they were african americans and young and they were talking about living together and training together they were facing the camera and it looked like a rare unseen footage, something of a backstage kind of thing during rehearsals I've been tryin to find that footage for a few years now.. I must have seen like 50 documentaries by now.. still no luck.

Sorry I don't remember ever seeing that footage

Really enjoyed this and your wonderful live concert history. By the way, Bob Geldof is just pronounced Geldoff, and Midge Ure is pronounced Yur, not Yur-ay. p.s. the old Wembley stadium had 70,000 attend Live Aid, not 5,000. It could hold more in the older days. Greetings from a Brit, currently living in Norway.

Here is something else which they, I assume, know, but perhaps you do not. The title "Don't Crush That Dwarf..." likely comes from a small photo in the inside cover of the 1966 Dylan album "Blonde on "Blonde". Check it out. Dylan is holding a pair of pliers as well as a small framed picture. What do you think about the person in that picture?
@berniedropstheneedle6842 ай бұрын
Fascinating. not sure who the woman is Lizzie Borden? But that doesn't equate with dwarf. If you know, I would like you to share.

Your channel is awesome. I only recently found it. I discovered the Motown sound thanks to my older brother, who lived in the US during the mid sixties. I cannot listen to this music without thinking of him. As someone said: "Music is the closest thing we have to a time machine.". 🙂

It's wild to me how enjoyable the first side of this album is compared to the second side. I don't listen to the progress suite either. It has some nice moments but, on the whole, is just not something I'm going to spend my time on. I once read a review that said "shut this off halfway and you'll think it's a masterpiece". That pretty much sums it up 😂
